As a season ticket holder for decades, I have had it with the scheduling. UMASS, Austin Peay, Middle Tennessee State etc.

If the powers that be in the athletic department want to throw a million dollars at a cupcake, at least give the fans a chance to fill up Sanford.

I know it's sold out, but visually there are a lot of empty seats.

Schedule Georgia Southern, Sanford will be packed as it has in the past.

We gain nothing by playing them.

They show their wad when they took us to OT and failed to win. We will never play them again (or at least for the foreseeable future)

I think ridding the schedule of teams that run the triple option was pretty high on Kirby’s list, so with PJ gone from Tech, I don’t think he is going to rush to add another team that runs it. Kirby literally said in his post tech presser that he hates playing triple option teams and if we keep beating tech like that, maybe we won’t have to much longer.

Philosophically, I understand where you are coming from, so in that sense I can agree on some level about keeping it in-house or in-state.

I don’t see any difference in playing them as opposed to any other cupcake team. I say keep the money in our state and schedule them.

Yeah...that was arguably the best chance they will have for the foreseeable future...it’s hardcto imagine a Kirby Smart coached UGA team not boat-racing GSU every time they step on the field.

No. If we want to schedule an in-state team, make it Ga. State or Valdosta State.

Yes, Kirby hates the triple option. Hated preparing for Ian’s said in co Terence he doesn’t anticipate having to prepare for it going forward

I’m good with Ga State.

I remember the Ga Southern fans were the most awkward fans of any team I’d ever known.

We tried to be nice to them but they were all negative nancys

Its a complete losing proposition on all fronts: we have to pay an in state team with an Auburn-lite fan base and little brother complex, we have to prepare for the triple option by choice, and we have to hope we win and avoid injury. There is no redeeming quality to playing them. Ga State would be the better option since they at least don’t run the option. For that reason I’d say to pass on KSU too

I just watched the best football game this post-season.

OUTSTANDING.

It was a game that I wouldn't have given my seatbacks at halftime to anybody that wanted them.

Maybe when they stop running the triple option. Until then, schedule Georgia State and Georgia Tech for our cupcakes.

Hells no. When we beat GSU it’s viewed as a rent a win. If they ever beat us it’d be app st Michigan for the rest of time. We gain zilch playing them.

We should play the Vandys of othe conferences......Indiana, duke or wake, kansa.....those types of teams that have almost no shot beating us in any given year but in areas we could get some recruiting exposure. Of course those teams expect a home and home and with theWLCP we only have what, 5 home games in some years?

We’ve been undefeated once in 38 years, right? Until we manage to consistently play 12 complete games a year in the regular season our schedule is plenty tough enough for us to get in the CFP every year. All we gotta do is win the SEC with one loss or less and we are in. There is no upside to making our schedule tougher and major downsides

why was the coach and others sobbing uncontrollably at the the end of that game?..can't believe it was just due to the win..
