They gave a hell of a rendition of Georgia On My Mind. For the life of me I can't figure out why we don't play that song more in Sanford Stadium. It's a beautiful piece of music and should make anyone from the state teary-eyed when they hear it.

1st guy had a well put together speech and nailed it perfectly.

The 2nd guy had a better message imo and was more relateable, you could just tell he was nervous as hell. Some of the senior administrators faces when he sipped from the chalice were priceless.

Ya, I never really followed their career, knew much about them, or understood why they were speaking, but they really surprised me. They connected with everyone and kept it pretty light hearted. I def got teary eyed when they did “Georgia”...

On a side note, I tried to drink with my kids last night. I paid a heavy price today. They learned how to drink im Athens. DGDs.

There's a lot of atlanta and out of state UGA fans that openly hate the state of Georgia and anyone that actually has roots here. Hell, we smoked two of them out into the open in the NYC chikfila thread and got them to admit it and virtue-signal about it.

That song must be a special kind of hellish torture for those type folks. ANother reason to start playing it more, imo.

The Lady A dude is also a pretty good golfer too. Plays in a lot of the pro ams and can hold his own out there.

I can't listen to that song and not tear up a little.

It makes me cry too...

Because it’s a song about something innocent and beautiful that is now dying of cancer. Atlanta metronoma stage 5 diagnosis.

The 2013 graduation sucked. Saxby Chambliss jibber jabbering 40 minutes about terrorism and the necessity of globalism.
