Embarassing us in the national news
I'm all for free speech but the double standard is pretty ridiculous. I think we know how this would be handled if roles were reversed.
About that hardship waiver...

“Some white people may have to die for black communities to be made whole in this struggle to advance to freedom,” UGA philosophy TA and Ph.D. student Irami Osei-Frimpong wrote in a now-deleted comment on the Overheard at UGA Facebook page, Campus Reform reported.

A spokesperson at UGA’s Equal Opportunities Office defended Mr. Osei-Frimpong’s right to express his “personal opinion” in a private capacity, according to an email exchange with alum Andrew Lawrence, obtained by Campus Reform.

Not a chance he gets fired either. But swap races and we all know what would happen

They use the private context (AKA not acting in his 'official role') as justification for defending it. It's not like Sasser was acting as a baseball player when he said what he did and that didn't matter a bit. Not defending Sasser, just saying the double standard is too extreme and is out of hand.

Right?
It's like the twilight zone. You couldn't make this shite up if you tried.

It's called minority privilege.

Pretty sure an argument can be made that he could be inciting violence. Not protected speech.

He can have his free speech, but he should be fired. Most people are too ignorant to know what free speech is. Free speech doesn't protect you from the consequences of that speech, only that you can say it without being arrested or jailed for it. It doesn't mean you can't be fired by your employer.

It's also called "The Oppressed Olympics". There's a heirarchy to it and it's ridiculous. SMDH

They did this while sipping on their fracha mocha lapamachino’s wearing their berets, smelling like shite after not showering for 10 days, while sitting in their beanbag chairs

That's that shite that gives me the creepy, early 20th-Century Russian revolution feeling.

Not sure why anyone is surprised by this. Outside of business school, college professors across America are about 90% ultra lefties.

Exactly right. Free speech does not protect you from yelling 'FIRE' in a crowded theatre, nor should it protect you from saying things that could be construed as terroristic threats or inciting violence against a group of people.

When the government pays for college this is what you get.
I bet this class wouldn’t even exist if mom and dad had to write a check for tuition. No way anybodys paying real money this shite.
