It amazes me that we don’t have a single guard... not one.
Posted on 1/15/19 at 7:31 pm to Kneehigh
bullshite. We have plenty of guards. They just don’t inow how to play basketball.

DO doesn’t fit in Crean system. This system requires to many ball skills and DO doesn’t have it.
Not like we have any other options, Mike Edwards is like watching a 6 year old play with high school kids.

He’s forcing it. He’s been doing that lazy arse hook shot.

We are 4-23 on 3s

Well good night. We’ll see y’all Saturday

None of our players can run an offense. Thus the 3 point shot (after 3 point shot after 3 point shot).
We are a team that can't consistently shoot the 3. But that's what we do because we have no guard that can run an offense against a really good team.
So there goes another 3.
This is a problem that will not be fixed this year. None of our players can do it. It's as simple as that. We will do well against average teams that have difficulties handling our length and over all athletic ability.
But teams like Kentucky and Tennessee are simply going to embarrass us.

Even an “average” team with good guards will embarrass us...

So, instead of attacking the basket, which has shown to be our biggest offensive strength, we’re ok with just being lazy and not even trying to do something productive
So are we all in on Anthony Edwards or bust for the next 3 years?

Pretty difficult to attack the basket with no guards.

Hate to say it but this basketball team looks worse under crean. At least with fox we would blow leads. Now we just get blown out

It’s. Year. 1.
Also, I’m shocked we look worse without the 2nd best player in our program’s history...

Fox was just trying to manage and until he won the recruiting battles that would take the program to the next level.
Cream has a long leash from Administration and the fan base. He can use this to establish the system he wants until he brings the talent in that will allow the system to work.
Just saying here, Fox and staff just missed on so many of these player evaluations and it cost him his job. Turtle sucks but we got him over UCONN and we all thought oh he will be good and he is worse as a SR than he was a Freshman. Mike Edwards is a retarded project that never worked. Toe is too slow to legitimately play at this level and DO was good on posted up on the block with one move and a hook shot of the glass.
Next year, Crean is stepping up the talent according to the rankings. We really need a Point Guard and we have a shot with the number 2 SG in the country. Next year, Hammonds, Claxton, and Hightower should be a pretty good trio but if Claxton keeps improving he will go pro.

Crean has a chance at the best class in Georgia history in just his first full year.
Signings
-4*, 60 overall Jaykwon Walton||SF||Montgomery, AL
-3*, 134 overall Toumani Camara||SF||Hollywood, FL
Offers
-5*, 4 overall Anthony Edwards||SG||Atlanta, GA(Florida State heavy lean. UGA 2nd)
-4*, 62 overall Christian Brown||SF||Mouth of Wilson, VA(NC State trending, UGA was two weeks ago)
-NR............Tony Johnson||PG||Atlanta Skill Factory(2018 HS Graduate, between UGA and Auburn)
3*, 272 overall Niven Glover||PG||Orlando, FL(5 Major offers, Georgia feels good)
Georgia will probably take one of the PGs, even neither is highly rated, and will hope that they can get back in it with Brown. If they can do those two things, its the best class in program history.
2020 is where the tide has to start turning.
5*(10 overall)Walker Kessler is a legacy with his dad, brother, and uncle playing at Georgia. Georgia probably leads right now but Duke, Virginia, Michigan, all the top programs are coming after him. If Crean can get him, its the biggest signing in program history. After that, there are more 5* and 4* in the state. Its a great year.

That's because there is no talent other than Claxton, and I don't think he's as good as some think. Crean will live or die on recruiting, just like Fox. If he can recruit and get talent, we'll be good. If he can't he'll be gone in 3 years to somewhere he can.

if we can't get fricking walker kessler, then we should just cancel the program.
claxton is an unreal talent. IMO, he's actually much better than advertised. don't think he's leaving this offseason, but his junior year could easily be his last.

Couldn't have had a worse draw in conference play with a new coach. UT,AU,UK and UF to start the conference schedule. Thank God for the Vandy breather.
Gonna head over on the 26th for the Texas game. Looking forward to it.

I think we match up with UF and they can’t score... I see us getting a win Saturday. The rest of the schedule... if we can go .500 I’d consider that a win for Crean in year one.
