Pass rush was the most disappointing aspect of the 2018 team.

I’ll go with Adam Anderson as the leader and 30 total for the team.

Jermaine Johnson - 6.5
Azeez Ojulari - 5
Adam Anderson - 4.5
Nolan Smith - 4.5
Walter Grant - 2.5
Tyler Clark - 2
Malik Herring - 2
Jordan Davis - 2
Tae Crowder -2
Julian Rochester - 1.5
Channing Tindall - 1.5
Monty Rice - 1.5
Devonte Wyatt - 1.5
Nakobe Dean - 1
J.R. Reed - 1
Richard LeCounte - 1

So I guess 40.

You forgot the guy who is actually going to win the sacks battle.

AZEEZ OJULARI!

Ah, knew I was forgetting someone. Was trying to go off memory. Added Azeez and Wyatt in.

And I still think JJ will be our best pass rusher this season.

That's a lot of sacks, but it still looks reasonable IMO. Don't know if we get that many, but I don't think I went overboard.

Teams are going to fall behind and pass a lot. I'm seeing 43.

I think Crowder may get 4.

He is an athletic linebacker.
You use him best when you give him a target and set him loose. Hes not best as a read/react linebacker (not as of the end of last season at least).

My pick for leader is Ojulari. You have to get the reps to get the sacks. And he will be the starter imo.

Total sacks for the team at 40 (15 games)

People are sleeping on Jermaine Johnson. They don’t go and get an upperclassman JUCO transfer if they don’t expect them to make an immediate impact.

I think Azeez and JJ each get over 5 and fight for team lead, but Nolan Smith will start putting it all together in the final stretch of the season and will be the best pass rusher by the end of it.

Reminds me of Leonard Floyd with that build. He is long and fast. I think he’s going to be a savage out there.

Jermaine Johnson is my pick. But I hope all of them get several sacks.

That’s my pick also. The OL said they could not stop him. And that’s against the best OL out there.

I think the depth and skill of the interior linemen may be the key here. It’s easier to get sacks for the OLBs/Ends when there is no pocket to step up in. If the interior gets good push I’ll go with Azeez to have 9 and Jermaine with 7.5 to lead the way. If they don’t get good push I’ll say 5-6 sacks is the most by any one guy.

Asses kicked, QBs pissed, cycle is repeated every game

30 sacks. Azeez and Adam Anderson tie for the lead.

Maybe that number will be higher if the emphasis on increased havoc rate follows through, but I'll believe it when I see it.
