I don't watch this show and have zero to contribute WRT plot lines, characters, etc.
I'm chiming in because folks are having conniption fits about how much smoking is shown. Really?!? It's set in the 1980s; you could smoke just about anywhere back then and far more people were smokers.
While reading about this, I learned something else. Did you know that if a character in a movie is shown smoking, the MPAA automatically give the movie a "R" rating? That astounded me.

I enjoyed season 3. I really like the characters and development of them. Umma and Ethan Hawkes daughter was good. The plot just got a bit hokey to me. It just seemed like it borrowed from MIB. I'm also not sure where they are going Upside Down. It seems like they are making the story up as they go along. It does seem like it's geared towards kids but the violence in this season was too over the top for any kid younger than 12.

I finished.
I thought it was jumping the shark but the way they wrapped it up was great.
This one was definitely campier than previous seasons. At points I was waiting for Phil Hartman and Paul Rubens to cameo. Or see John Waters in the credits somewhere.

I think Camp was the theme at the met gala this year too.

My wife is making her way through it, so I get to rewatch, noticing many other things. Makes me like this season more, the second time around.
