Vanderbilt knew they had to stop the run to have a chance, so we open up the game with 7 straight run plays for a touchdown to set the tone.
Incredible to think that we couldn't run the football against Nicholls last year.
"For the first time in 90 years (1927), #UGA has defeated four consecutive opponents in a season by 28+ points."
Just a shout out to a guy earning that paycheck.

They are looking good. Vandy didn't have any answers.

Last year must have been a huge work in progress for all of the coaching staff, but this year things have improved vastly on all fronts.

I think personnel is better suited to our positions this season.
Wynn is great at sealing an alley. But he isn't big enough to get movement and knocking DTs off the ball. Tackle is a much better spot for him.
Gaillard's size better suits C than G.
Kindley is doing work if he can stay healthy.
And Baker is growing into the position each week.
I've read that Thomas will be a 3 year player at UGA. That is from former pro's/dawgs who have watched him this season.

Uhh, how about Vandy last year. Chubb and Michel combined for more yards on the first drive this year then they did in the entire game vs Vandy last year. Albeit, Vandy did lose that badass MLB to the NFL, which made it easier. And Vandy playing a very tough game 3 weeks in a row

I fully believe that if he stays healthy Thomas will be an All American and first round draft pick

It's been a good two weeks but I'll know our O-Line has really changed if we get some push against UF

I'm not the one who downvoted you....
But...
I haven't seen big push this year either. We aren't getting knocked backwards but we aren't blowing anyone off the ball either.
It's just taking care of the basic assignments, and some good footwork by Wynn and Gaillard.
Luckily, we have three running backs with great vision, fresh legs through rotation, and a QB that can check out of a stacked box for a pass play.
I worry how this line is going to look against Florida, Auburn, and Alabama.
Alabama has like four Trent Thompsons.

Pittman is awesome to learn from

He has done a tremendous job with the OL. It hasn't been perfect, but given that they were the biggest question mark heading into this season, there's been noticeable improvement and consistency that was missing a year ago.
Remember when Bert downplayed Pittman's OL coaching and said Arkansas would be just fine without him?

I agree.
Our running is successful because we are sealing off lanes. The bulk of it is not knocking guys 2 yards off the line of scrimmage.
Either way works (a hole is a hole ). But third and short and goalline often require more push.

I wonder how our running game would be if Eason was in?
