Excellent! Let's hope it fires his arse up to get after Mayfield.
Gonna be a lot of blitzing in that game.

It’s good to see him finally get recognized outside of just our own fanbase.

Dominated the vote like he has the field.

Awesome. Should be a Heisman finalist.

Jarvis had the ability to take over games. Did it against Mizzou, too, in 2012.
But Roquan is everywhere in every single game. I've yet to see any team slow him down, let alone neutralize him. You don't realize he is taking over games because he just does it and when he's not making the tackle, he's getting guys lined up and on his assignments to put the guys around him in a position to succeed.

Jarvis didn't always use proper technique and leverage. It is why his success hasn't translated to the NFL. He took shortcuts on the field and was athletic enough to make it work.
Roquan has great instincts, great technique, and great athleticism. It is why he is better than Jarvis.
I do acknowledge that Jarvis played to the whistle better than Roquan. Jarvis never gave up on a play regardless of where the ball was and where he was on the field. Roquan is a beast from sideline to sideline. But when the ball gets past him, I haven't seen that same hunger that Jarvis had.

Definitely a TRUE DGD!
Best season I've ever seen out of a Georgia defensive player. Showed up every week kicking total arse.
I was so happy to see him get the ball in his hands on the fumble recovery in the 4th. If he had run it back, it might have gone down as the greatest play in Georgia history since Run Lindsay Run. I might have shed a tear.

Was hoping he would get recognized the way he should team success first but I’ve also wanted to see UGA have players that win these types of awards for the program, last major award winner we had was who Drew Butler won the Ray Guy award, hopefully Roquon can clean up some more as I think he should bc I can not think of a better defensive player in the country right now
