Please ask them to play the Jaws theme... a lot... during the game. It will be the greatest thing ever.

The fact that the Jaws theme has now become to McElwain what the ticking clock sound was to Captain Hook is amazing.

We don't play Jaws because:

1) Jaws is a shark;
2) UF plays it and they don't understand 1).

But their coach fricked a shark... and then denied it... every time we play it, he will be distracted, enraged, and slightly aroused.

Their own band already torments him by playing it.

I realize there's a lot of moving parts, but is there any way our band could fall in with theirs? Like a 200 person jam marching band playing a funky Jaws.

I feel like that would add emphasis that Mac couldn't ignore.

The directors wouldn't do that. Even if they wanted to, the logistics of getting two groups with 140 yards or so of distance between them to play in sync is actually really hard.

Nothing will ever be quite like being at Georgia, but...

I bought (new construction) a house a month ago and proposed to me girlfriend, who is in her final year, 2 weeks ago at homecoming. I marched alumni band that same day to cover my musical performance for the year.

So you could say everything is going pretty well!

I played in a National Guard band to get my trombone fix in. You should consider something like that. I could hook you up.

Congrats. I proposed to my bride at the WLOCP in 1966. Then we beat the crap out of Spurrier in his Heisman year. He was crying like Tebow at the end of the game.

-----------
The seventh-ranked 1966 Florida Gators entered the game with a 7–0 record and the opportunity to clinch a share of their first-ever SEC title.[45] The Gators' senior quarterback, Steve Spurrier, had just locked up the Heisman trophy the previous week with a stellar performance versus the Auburn Tigers.[46] The Florida–Georgia game turned out very differently, however, as the Bulldogs defense dominated the game, and Spurrier threw three interceptions in the 27–10 Georgia victory.[47] All-American defensive tackle Bill Stanfill would later reference Spurrier in recounting his experiences growing up on a farm in southwest Georgia before the advent of weightlifting: "Holding pigs for my dad to castrate was quite a challenge. I can't say that helped prepare me for football, but it sure did remind me an awful lot of sacking Steve Spurrier." [48]

Then maybe play "Love is in the air" in the same key as they are coming out of the song.

I think Red Coat should play Tom Petty songs.

That would really piss them off.

Ok, so our band should launch into a solid "Bow-chicka-bow-bow" right after UF plays "Jaws".

Theme from Love Boat afterward. That's an easy one.
