Seems a bit hostile. The city's not *that* crime-ridden.

I like Tubby's. Their fried pork chops are on point.

Didn't see anyone say Garibaldi's , pricey but good food and service. Belfords is good plus they have outdoor dining, which is nice. I like Vics, as was mentioned. If you get a chance to go to Wormsloe at Isle of Hope, you'll be glad you did. Oldest maybe only colonial plantation remaining in in Georgia.

Just going to follow back up.
Had dinner at Boars Head after arriving and stayed on River St Friday. Great band at Warehouse.
Meandered down to the Waving Girl and watched the boats until lunch at Vic’s on Sat - just wondered around DT during day. People watched - window shopped, etc. Rooftop bar at Cotton Sail - where we stayed - in the afternoon. Earlyish dinner at 17Hundred90- which was excellent. Shot pool down off Congress St and ended up at Treehouse had fun and bailed before it got too crazy.
Breakfast at B Matthews and hit the road. Very chilled weekend except for the drinking - Savannah has a much bigger party vibe than Charleston and it got us.
One disappointment was the Cotton Sail. The location was great but the staff was clueless and the rooms were odd - euro minimalist furnishing in a room with a 20 ft ceiling, towels were in the coat closet; no room to set your stuff down in the bathroom, had to climb out of the shower around the shower door to get towel off the rack, etc.
We’ll definitely be back but will stay somewhere else.
