PSA: 2018 Hartman Fund Donations

The new tax law eliminates the charitable deduction for donations to the Hartman Fund (or any other fund to which donations are required to get the right to purchase tickets). Make your 2018 donations before midnight Dec. 31 and deduct them on this years taxes.

If you actually itemize this is good advice, but remember the standard deduction is also doubling so even though you may itemize now, it won’t matter next year anyway.
