I’ve heard Fromm is really high on Pickens but he’s got to learn the playbook better. Tough position for a freshman.

I don't know if week 1 matters so much. The unit is so inexperienced that they'll be rotating pretty heavily until the starters reveal themselves.
Cager is the obvious choice for starting day 1 with Holloman gone. Blaylock seems most prepared of the freshmen. Simmons may be the other starter, but that's pure speculation.
That having been said, D Rob needs touches. If his blocking is at least serviceable we can't leave that talent sitting on the bench. Line him up opposite play side on runs if necessary, but the team needs that production.
