postulating ticket prices for the Notre Dame game

I already know I will be going to Notre Dame for the game. Just tryin to decide what the best policy for getting the cheapest ticket. The people I'm going up with have already said they aren't going to go into the stadium unless the tickets are face value (they aren't really fans) so I need just one ticket.
Prices are around 500 on StubHub/seat geek. That's a shitload for me right now considering I'll be moving in October somewhere whether that's just across town or across the country. Think they'll drop to around 300 by mid August? Think I could scoop up tickets for $150 dollars day of at Notre Dame? Haven't had to get tickets like this in awhile.

You'll be able to get face value tickets the day of the game

My wife used to live in Chicago, my aunt currently lives in Chicago, we really want to go to this game as part of a chicago vacation, but it's looking like two tix together in the UGA section are going to be thousands of dollars.

Good luck with that.

I don't care where I sit as long as I'm in the stadium. I live in Chicago and somehow I don't know any Notre Dame fans. I think my sister's boyfriend's grandfather is a season ticket holder and that's it. I've had my people reach out to him but haven't heard back.

I'm pissed that I'm gonna miss it, but between that and the falcons it's gonna be a $1500 weekend. Think I'm going to throw that to a week long trip someone else

I'm going to Chicago on Thursday for the river yacht cruise or whatever. I also have a bus ticket Saturday morning. Probably not going inside the stadium on Saturday but likely going to the Falcons game Sunday.
Including everything, I'm looking at like $700, maybe less depending on what I spend on food and drinks (Thursday and Saturday already paid for). That's not getting me into the game, though, which I'm cool with.

Once in a lifetime trip is worth whatever it's gonna cost

As a long time season ticket holder, I can't tell you how many times I've given tickets away the day of the game. Granted, thisgane has a higher profile then most but if you're willing to work at it a little bit, you'll be able to scalp some no more than 20% above face value the day of the game. Maybe a little more for seats together. And prices plummet after kickoff.

I will be there regardless of the cost, RV, Cubs, UGA, Falcons

I'm guessing tickets will be about $200-$250 each on game day.

Touchdown Jesus land is interesting place to scalp tickets
I think it is legal to scalp by state law and seems it is ignored when it is the locals involved but as soon as it involves the visitors and they will end the deal and take the tix (I swear it is so they can go in themselves) so beware if you are not a native in the land.

I have never bought a ticket from a scalper for any sport.

Deep, it looks like my ND sub is giving me 4 or 6. If I get all 6, I'll hold 2 for you.

If he's getting them through the lottery, it is mid-August before they are fedexed.
Unable to find a date for season tix shipped out.
