I just thought a lightning magnet would complement the squirrel-attractor you built on the porch.

Of course they figured out how to climb the gutter (you're not going to be able to keep them off the gutters). And they will find another way. They're in the crawlspace because of the steady supply of bird seed nearby. Wasn't trying to say you should get rid of the bird feeder - Just buy one like this and once they realize there is no way they can get the food, they will stop trying.

THis is the one I use and no tree rats around it once they realized they can't get to the seed.

I cant tell from the photos but is the trap specifically designed to trap tree rats? If not, you may need to modify the pressure plate for the proper weight. If the animal isn't heavy enough to spring the plate, the plate won't work.
Also from the other photos you posted earlier, put something heavy on both sides of the trap so they can't reach in from the sides. Learned these tidbits from my dad who was trapping stray cats in their yard.

By the look of the trap those squirrels can still reach in from the side with their scrawny arms. Put something heavy on each side like stacking a couple of bricks on each side so they have to go in to get the goodies. It sounds ridiculous but it works. BTW - your daughter (I assume) is adorable!

Trying to come up with a battle plan for you, so I need some more recon.

Are you using a wild bird MIX or strictly Sunflower seeds?

How bout stack some firewood on the porch up against the house under the squirrel-attractor to attract termites?

Squirrels f’n hate termites, So once a colony gets established, those frickers will head back to the trees like their nuts are on fire

Or a fish cleaning station underneath to attract racoons, possoms, and stray cats. Squirrels hate stray cats. And the leaky plumbing under the wood would help get the termites to take too.

A proper fish cleaning station would be screened in, and the easily maintained above ground plumbing would empty downhill one foot from your neighbors property

So you downvoted my suggestion - I was just showing you the photo of the one I have. I didn't buy mine from Amazon.

Do you have a "Wild Birds Unlimited" where you live?

If you do, go there and buy the feeder. If you don't want to spend that type of money on a feeder then the tree rats will continue to gorge on your seed. I've had my feeder for 15 years and it is worth the money.

Squirrel crack.

First. Don't even consider squirrel baffles. Takes them about 3 days to figure out how to defeat them.

Option one:
Slowly switch to safflower seed. It may take a while for the birds to get use to them but most of them will switch over and squirrels don't eat them.

Option two - Chemical warfare (no birds will be harmed)

You can make a hot pepper solution to spray on the sunflowers shells.
Birds don't have may tastebuds ( a chicken only has about 30 tastebuds vs 8-10,000 for us), so birds won't taste or get mouth burn from the hot pepper solution. As a matter of fact, a lot of times it acts as a de-wormer for birds.
You can buy birdseed with hot peppers but where is the fun.

I mix some vegetable oil with a fair amount of cayenne pepper, put in a ziplock bag and then add the sunflower seeds to the bag, shake to lightly cover the sunflower seeds with the oil/cayenne mixture and then place in feeder. Squirrels will feel the mouth burn and stop coming to the feeder ( unless you have dang Mexican squirrels, then they'll just ask for some tortilla chips)

Sorry, but all the hot pepper and cayenne pepper solutions do not work. I tried those - no success. Only a squirrel proof feeder will keep them out of the seed.
