I for one just want to know how Dany sailed right into the iron fleet after discussing their location literally in the previous scene, AND while having clear visibility from the air on her dragon. That entire scene was so stupid and contrived.

Ha ha.
You just watched a fantasy show about a girl riding on a dragon. And then you called something that she did while riding on a dragon "stupid and contrived". But not the actual fact that a 3 foot tall girl was riding a dragon. As if dragon-riding is perfectly natural, non-contrived, and sensical as long as aerial surveillance tactics are executed at a high level.
Ha ha ha. 8 seasons in, and people are still confusing fantasy genre with non-fiction military strategy documentaries.

Normally I'd agree, but Game of Thrones has consistently tried to put an emphasis on strategy and dire consequences of actions. They intentionally kept their characters from making uncalculated decisions until lately. I'm not one of the people calling this a bad season, but it does seem like a different show.

Not saying I don’t enjoy this season for what it is. I’m happy to be watching it. Just saying the things that attracted me initially aren’t so much in play with it anymore. And that change happened when they bypassed the books which was expected by most people I think so not terribly surprising.

Dany has been showing mad queen tendencies for a while, but I didn't think she'd flip a switch and turn blatantly evil.

Yeah turns out that getting shitty advice from all your closest advisors, most loyal servants getting murdered, and betrayed by everyone else really weighs on a monarch
Jon not giving her some pre-war salami was her michael douglas Falling Down moment

Looking more and more like they actually are going to turn the entire show into the Arya Stark tom-boy superhero show.
That's what the pale horse at the end meant right? From Revelations where the ashen pale horse appears, and the name that sat on him was Death. And Hell followed with him etc etc. So, I guess that means the green eye prophecy was never about Sersi. Arya will be the one to kill the green-eyed Mad Queen instead.
I hope they do it in a theatre where Denarius is in the Queen's box taking in a play a the Ford theatre to celebrate having just brought fire and sword to innocent civilians, women, and children to win a war just like Abe Lincoln did. And then Arya sneaks up behind her and sticks needle through the back of her skull and out one of her green eyes and she yells "Sic semper tyrannis!!!!" like John Wilkes Booth and then escapes.
That'd be awesome.

Holy shite. I highly recommend the half hour HBOgo behind-the-scenes documentary deal on this last one. On the one hand, because of how crazy the facemelter engineering and effort it takes to pull this shite off is. And on the other, because of how bad it makes the snot ingrate critics look . Ha ha dipshits

Well. There once was a world before Game of Thrones. And in a few hours there’ll be a new one without it.
Good luck to everyone.

I cant get over the level of discontent among such a high percentage of the fanbase there are grown men on the movie board here that admit to signing an online petition for HBO to redo the last season
Which has over a million signatures i read. Pretty crazy

That’s why I would never in a million years read anything on a board like that.
There’s a weird phenomenon where cringe-whining and gimpery is as contagious as a stomach flu whenever high concentrations of people that couldn’t create something original and entertaining if their lives depended on it gather.
At the same time, it’s also a side-effect of anything that is universally popular

You know that feeling of anticipation you get when that epic intro sequence explodes and the perfect theme song comes on?
Soak it up. Because it’s the last time you’ll ever feel that. Ever.
This is kind of bittersweet.
Side note: Best opening and theme for a tv show ever in history. Second only to Dukes of Hazzard.

Hated Jon wasn't on the Throne, but I liked him leaving with the Wildings. They made brans character so unlikable. Wouldn't have minded him on the throne but his character is portrayed too smug and arrogant.
Can't believe no one told them including "A song of ice and fire" was a terrible and corny idea.

Exactly how i felt about Sansa
Treated Jon like complete shite his whole life
Repeatedly screwed her family over
The show kept trying to impress that she was the smartest character left with little to support it
But she just gets to elect herself queen in the north after Jon risks his life for the milllionth time liberating the world from yet another existential threat while Jon, the one true heir, gets a life sentence on the wall? ok
Im generally ok with the ending and loved Jon going off to be king of the free folk. I just loathed sansa's character
Posted on 5/20/19 at 8:24 am to Malefic Runt
Bran didn’t want to be king of winterfell, his home, two episodes ago because the affairs of men are beneath him, but then he’s offered rule of over all 7 kingdoms and he accepts it immediately and gets all sassy making decrees left and right with his pouty gay-boy lips?????
So f’n stupid.
Bran sucks. And now the entire show sucks and is tainted with the scent of boiled egg farts.
Someone needs to break in to HBO and find the master tapes and erase everything after the second where Jon kills the queen. Just let it end there for future generations that discover the show.
I hate ever single character that survived now. Except Bronn.

Welcome to the whiny critics club of "people who could never create something entertaining in their lives."
Seriously though, that might have been the worst ever ending to a series, especially one that was so elite as GoT was for most of its' run. Bran gets the throne because he has a good story? Insanity. And if that's the criteria, Jon's story is way better and more heroic. Hey Jon, the unsullied are gone, it's safe to come back from the wall now. A wall that doesn't even need to exist anymore since the night king is gone.

I could have come up with a better ending than that.
fricking Whiznot could probably come up with something less cringe than that!
This is a catastrophe.
