Im thinking this neighborhood isn't as nice as op would have us believe.

It's not Crystal Hills, no. It's also not a starter, slab-house subdivision, either. There are a myriad of cheaper options out there for this purpose. I guess we'll see in the next few days what's up. My apologies for not meeting your $500k "nice house" threshold.

Who would have thought that a former dawgrant moderator would be the type to create a retroactive HOA to frick a neighbor out of a home sale.

Well, that's entirely untrue. She had three full price offers on the table in a day.

I would have assumed the guy who loves HOAs wouldn't have seen an issue with it.

As far as I know it did yesterday. Haven't really seen anyone around other than a surveyor who came out Wednesday to stake property lines.

Why would they be spending $$$ for that? That's highly suspect.

No idea. Thought the same thing. And you wonder why I'm suspicious of it?

Neighbor promptly ripped one of the stakes up because it was encroaching on his path to drive his truck to the back of his house to fix an HVAC unit. He's going to do well with these folks.

We're invested in the story now. We need pics. Satisfy us before people move in.

There's more (even stranger stuff that may mean nothing, but could be significant) I could share with you now, but being as how I got lambasted for even considering options to intervene, I will leave those details alone for now. I'm going to sit back and watch things unfold.

No, you need to share. The last minute hoa idea was dumb on a hundred levels, not the least of which is that you could have googled this in 30 seconds but made a topic here AND on TD. All of whom lambasted you. This isn't our fault. This is your fault. You know it to be true. Now, to redeem yourself, share the other information. It will make you feel better. It will be cathartic. You'll be glad you did. I promise. You know it to be true.

Um, I DID Google it. That’s exactly what led to the idea, because what I proposed has absolutely been implemented and worked before. But, it varies state-to-state, and that’s what I needed more info on. Regardless, I should have known better than to post it to TD. That’s definitely on me.

As for the rest, if it goes south, I’ll let ya know. Remember, I have cameras......
