I’m sorry, did I know this? Had it been stated? If so, I missed it. But no, matter of fact, you’ve always been a pretty colorful, typically entertaining poster. I’ve not personally ever seen you get so bent out of shape and invoke baseless personal attacks against someone for something as benign as the topic I’ve raised. You’ve made Carl Lewis look like a hopscotch player with the jump you’ve made equating “renter” to “black.” No one said this but YOU. I’ve been on these boards long enough for most to know that what you are implying is bullshite. As far as your opinion goes, I’m not really interested. You used to be a poster I tended to enjoy reading the musings of, but whatever you are now is a shell of what you used to be and simply isn’t worth the time, nor the effort. You know, some people aren't going to see past race. Like I'm some sort of bad guy because of the color of my skin. I personally think most racist are more jealous than anything. I mean, I'm more athletic, hired over more qualified applicants, my kids will get into college over your kids who have better grades, superior genital growth and my frickin hair is waterproof. How can one not be jealous?

Yeah, my idea probably was dumb as frick. I sure as hell hope so. I also wasn’t really clear about the whole current neighbor deal, which didn’t help. In fairness, I’ve never been in an HOA and I had no idea how much disdain people have for them. Clearly, it’s not a popular idea.
That said, I do think they have their place, assuming you don’t put egomaniacs in charge.

No way in hell would I buy a property in a HOA neighborhood. Then you just have some little snooty assholes telling you what you can and can’t do with your property and then fining you for it? Where the hell does the money from these fines even go? I’d lose my shite. I would Marvin Heemeyer their asses.

this is a good thing, I would prefer that a neighbor not be able to paint their house fluorescent yellow or have cars on blocks in the yard. Also you realize you can do pretty much whatever you want within reason, just have to let them know first.

It's all well and good until you get a fricking HOA that is out of control. Wanting to fine you because your wife puts out seasonally appropriate wreaths (flag, Easter, UGA, Halloween, etc) as decoration but the rule on the books says no wreaths outside of Christmas. Then when you go to the HOA meeting to get it changed they simply won't vote on it... I may or may not be speaking from experience...

that does sound like a nightmare, but is more applicable to the crappy individuals on that board. Our HOA is no problem whatsoever but that's porbably because the members are rational level headed regular people instead of power hungry busybodies.
