This maybe the motivation we need,...pretty surprising given that swift gashed them last year. They are awfully cocky in this game and thier fans as well. Suprised we are favorites with the media on the gators jock as well.

I'm starting to get a gut feeling that we are going to come out and stomp UF. I've seen nothing from the offense that gives me reason to believe this but it just feels like there is an arse whipping on the horizon.

Our fans have stayed quiet, our players and coaches have stayed quiet. Florida has been doing nothing but yappin. A storm is brewing. Gators are going to come out over confident in this game and it’s our D that makes the difference on Saturday.

He didn’t say anything disrespectful about Swift.
But congrats. LSU fans did the same thing a few years ago by misquoting Treon Harris and everyone ran with it.
So the damage is done. UGA fans definitely factored in if Swift is buying this.

Maybe not, but media always has a way of taking it out of context and then coaches are going to try and use it to motivate their players.

Definitely an altered quote, but if Swift wants to use it for extra motivation then I'm all for it.

Getting better. Another Gator said Perine was better than Swift.
They are running their mouth all week while the Athens boys are doing their work quietly. I can't wait to see a beatdown on Saturday.

Shawn Davis is one of the least talkative guys on defense. You’d be hard pressed to find him trash talking.

I agree that it wasn’t disrespectful.
BUT. He’s contradicting himself by saying he’s normal and then saying he’s quick. Swift’s quickness isn’t normal. The tone sounds kind of mundane to be honest which makes it seem like Swift is no big deal.
So if I’m swift and I am not sure exactly how to take that then I’m going to remove all doubt during the game.

I’m not arguing the quote was altered or misrepresented by some Instagram dork, but normal literally means average, so I would argue the context is no different.
My guess is, he realized that saying normal could be taken the wrong way, so he said “not an average back” to try to cover it.
