Their senior year and that Rose Bowl performance on the national stage was the best thing to happen to UGA since the 1980 season. Seeing both of them break off run after run after run was a major boon for our status as RBU.

I know we have had stellar backs before them (Gurley will always be my all time favorite), but the fact that we were able to get both of them to 1,000 yards in a season and show how in today's game you can split carries and still end up going in the 1st/2nd round (subtract Chubb's injury and both would have went in the 1st) opened the eyes of every RB recruit in the country.

Now we are in a great spot to land Evans while already having Milton in the fold. I don't think this would be possible if it weren't for Michel and Chubb leading the way. How great of a pitch is it to be able to look a 16/17 year old kid in the eyes and say "you can be a part of the next UGA duo".

Thanks for attending my TED talk.

And by all appearances they are two very outstanding young men. You honestly couldn't have a better ambassador for UGA football than those 2.

Same for Roquan and Lorenzo. That really was a special year.

Re Gurley- that is a dam good Dawg. Always pimping UGA gear. Appeared in Milton's commitment video. One of my all time favorites as well.

There is no better message than to say "you can come in, split carries AND still get 1,000 yards (thanks, Pittman!) AND save yourself for the NFL.

Don't forget Gurley. Every RB recruit admires Todd and Todd is a huge and constant Dawg booster. We have been blessed with the best. Go Dawgs.

Todd was a bad boy, I wish we could've had him during the Kirby era. I knew he was truly special when he was out there cracking heads against BAMA his freshman year in the SEC Championship game. That was a grown man football game and Gurley was a beast even as a freshman.

Nick and Sony were an incredible duo and DGD's. That was a year I'll always remember; seeing Sony rip through the Oklahoma defense and taking us to the title game.....we should've won if one of our DB's didn't lose his damn mind for a second.

Dawgs enjoy pulling for so many RBs, each with individual style, but all great in talent, character and production. The future looks like a continuation.

I understand why we are hated now.

Just got done watching a Swift highlight reel. If he can stay healthy he will have an phenomenal season with all those Hog Mollies up front. His juke step is nasty. Makes defenders look stupid. In some certain aspects he reminds me a little of Barry Sanders although Swift isn't as elusive and shifty. Both though plant that foot well, cut, and then shift into another gear.

Swift reminds me of Tony Dorsett. Direction change without losing any speed. (showing my age)
