After it was announced he was going through treatment. He made it so only people he approved could follow him on Instagram.

He just changed that and posted “You wouldn’t understand the path God paved for me. It was all a blessing in disguise. #ClearMindClearHeart

I hope he really has gotten his act together. I have a cousin who is dating someone who was on the 2016 team, and when I met him, he said Natrez is actually one of the better people on the team.

This. That said, if he keeps doing it at this point, he's a damn idiot.

**RUMOR**

There was some chatter about it being more than weed, but weed is what is public because weed is what cops found (three times).

**END RUMOR**

Not really a rumor. It's public knowledge that his last failed test involved opiates of some kind...

Are you sure? Is that in a public statement or police report or something?

Or is it just a rumor?

Haven't seen the police reports/court records myself, but after being explicitly reported on 247 and Dawgnation (among other places), would be surprised if it was not in the public documents...

A second test this past Tuesday also turned up positive, for what on court documents is listed as “opiates,” as well as alcohol.

OK, court documents is what I was looking for. But those documents aren't supposed to be public until the hearing, which isn't for a few more days, therefore shouldn't be public, and still up for legal scrutiny. Maybe he was on prescription pain meds for getting fricked up in practice and this will be thrown out at the hearing.... we don't know.

This much I'll agree with... not sure how all the various outlets got access to the documents...

Clarke leaked it. Natrez lawyer in Winder will likely make a very fricking big stink about this next week at the hearing.

AJC is relentless in finding dirt on UGA. I'm sure Kirby knows by now; things that would never see the light of day in Auburn or Tuscaloosa make headlines in the big A when it involves UGA.

Marc Weiscer (sp) at ABH is the worst.... he literally posts 3AM arrest stories eight minutes after the guy bonds out before the police report is even fully processed. He has handshakes with all of the bail bondsmen in Clarke. They call him first, then the coach. He gets paid extra whenever the AP picks up one of his stories, which they only do when he gets the scoop on an arrest. He literally makes his living by hawking UGA player arrests. He masquerades as a UGA beat reporter. He is Clarke County's version of TMZ.

ETA for anyone that doesn't believe me, I have the emails with him, after he reported a late night arrest a couple years ago, the arrest wasn't even registered with the county yet, but he had already published it in the middle of the night, I asked him how he got the info even though the arrest hadn't even officially occurred yet, and he said he "didn't want to go there".

Interesting. A few years back Auburn had a beat reporter who was aggressive about digging up dirt, not nearly that aggressive though. Can't remember his name or outlet, but I do remember reading several of his critical articles. The fans started griping and I assume somebody else wasn't happy either. He lasted about a year and was gone.

I haven’t seen the documents. But it’s likely they were filed as attachments to either a Petition to Revoke filed by the prosecutor or references to the failed drug tests and substances found in a Stipulation Order requiring him to go to treatment.

Assuming they function like most courts in Georgia....which is a big assumption sometimes.

All this over something that is completely legal in several States. Just a waste of resources, I am sure the prosecutor is patting itsepf on the back at the job they have done here.

I don't like lawbreakers.

That goes double for workers who perform a public service. This Natrez situation is very disturbing. The kid's rights are being trampled on.

Similar to the laws passed after the Gurley story, it would be nice to see tougher laws/punishments passed to protect these kids.

Get back to the capitol building, Kirby. Keep sticking up for your players.

Sounds to me like some gentlemen need to meet this guy one night and talk to him about his less than savory practices.
