The halftime adjustment that I fantasize about is where Kirby and the Coordinators get the kids in the locker room and tell them, "Look, obviously the refs aren't calling holding or PI, so grab jerseys like your life depends on it till they throw a flag."

Where's THAT adjustment.

I'm thrilled at a season that's exceeded expectations, too, but deeply disappointed in Kirby for playing scared throughout the 4th. Any offensive production at all, extending some of those drives, and we hang on to win. Instead, we play not to lose and in spite of the football gods smiling on us with Bama's shanked FG to end regulation, we get suckered by the other team's true freshman QB.

I have all the faith in the world in Fromm, but I've gotta admit that it wouldn't have been the worst thing in the world to see Eason come out for a series so they could get Fromm to settle down. That INT off the DL's helmet was inexcusable and gave Bama better field position than when we got the pick just before.

BTW, that's why Kirby doesn't like to use scholarships on FBs, Christian Payne.

If it's possible to be pissed and numb to it all, simultaneously, then that's where I am.

Fromm played exceptionally well. He was off in the 2H because Chaney took him out of his rhythm. Both of his picks were flukey, though the first pick was definitely underthrown but I put that pick more on Wims.

Second pick was all on Fromm. He let go of that ball about 4 feet from the ground. Also got lucky on several throws in the first half where the receiver (Ridley!) bailed him out. There were several balls that should have been intercepted including one that had he gotten it out of his hand clean should have been a pick six.

I don't think Fromm knew the Ol was gonna push that Dl halfway across the field right in his line of throw.

Payne would have converted at least 2 first downs had Fromm thrown the ball decently.

Truth of the matter is Bamas D line was creating Havok in the backfield and took Fromm out of his comfort zone. Until we get an Oline that can match up with those guys there's not much any QB can do. That's their MO and Fromm isn't the only QB that struggled against those guys.

We're getting there though but it will take time. Until then we'll always have the SECCG and Rose Bowl.

I fully expect that we'll get our chance to avenge this loss in Atlanta next year.

It's crazy to think that in the course of 8 days, we took the #1 offense and #1 defense both to OT.

Yep. It still sucks but this team played above themselves. When's the last time you could say that?

Last night we got basically the same treatment we dished to OU. Jumped up and then watched the lead vanish to get beaten with a one shot TD in OT.

Why do the football gods hate us so much?

We out-offensed one, and nearly out-defensed the other. It was a damn good season by some Damn Good Dawgs. Some great memories this year.
