Creep back in. That shite is the real rat poison.

Stupid penalties and turnovers made our d look bad and their o look good.

You can't demoralize the defense the way our players did, it will make top defenses look average as it wears them down.

Our players need to remember Gus try to score a cheap one late if there is a rematch, but I think Bama will have no issue with Auburn

Undisciplined play follows when your team counts on things going right in a hostile environment only to find that the other team is playing with much more controlled emotion. Auburn flat out wanted this more than we did. Maybe it's complacency? Maybe it's hubris? Either way, I hope the team learns how to handle adversity because this was the first time they faced it from a team that was not going to give them any chances (unlike Notre Dame).

We had way too many penalties, missed tackles. etc.

Our defense has begun diving at peoples feet trying to make tackles. I suspect Kirby will have a nice long talk with the team. We made way too many stupid 15 yard penalties, and then continued to show a total lack of poise during the entire game.

Take the turnovers and penalties away, and we still lose that game.

Hopefully, we have a better idea of who we are now and can bring a game plan to ATL to take risks and throw everything at them and try and win with what we’ve got.

I don’t know. Maybe even do something crazy before the half like actually use your timeouts to have opportunities to score points.

Maybe, but if we don't drop a sure touchdown early, get a stupid leaping penalty, and don't flob a punt, who knows. Those created and subtracted points.

Defenses fold after being left on the field, especially when they got a stop only to have to go back out there and get worn down...

Best defense is when it's on the sidelines and the best offense is when it's on the field.

College Football is a game of momentum.

It sure feels like this.
However, (here is the Disney in me)
Had we hit the FG right before half and then not committed the penalty on the punt starting the second half, who knows what might have happened? We would have gone into the half 6 down, then gotten good field position for our first possession of the second half.

It could be argued that the game MIGHT have taken on a different complexion. After that penalty we lost all measure of discipline and allowed ourselves to get frustrated.

Realistically.....Auburn brought their "A" game and we didn't.

Teams tend to make more mistakes when they are getting their arse kicked

Ridley slowed down to throw his hand up in the air after the ball had left Fromm's hand. That and his lack of adjustment prevented the catch, not a bad throw.

It was one of those games... when you play like complete trash and the opponent, at home I would add, plays their best... you get trucked... simple as that. No need to go and dissect the what if's or schemes, or players/coaches... they played really shitty... AU played their best game of the year... and we got the frick kicked out of us. Simple as that...

I was shocked at how many times Bellamy got sucked in and failed to set the edge.

Yep, we lost 1 fumble; that was it. Fromm did not throw any INT's. The penalties were a factor but the real story was that we only had 46 rushing yards because our OL got dominated at the LOS. Meanwhile Auburn had 237 yards rushing and 251 passing yards.

We made mistakes but the bottom line is we just aren't as good of a football team as we thought we are. We played the same game we have all year and got or shite pushed in.

It's hard to fault the guy jumping over the shield, he was trying to make a play.
But at the end of the day he can't do that, he probably knew he couldn't do that, but the instinct of trying to make a play came out.

The rest of the undisciplined crap was bc we were getting taken to the woodshed, and we had no answer for it.

We just didn't have it yesterday. It sucks, but it happens.

We didn't play THE SAME GAME yesterday as we've played all season... that's statistically and factually incorrect... It was one of those games... shite went south. We folded... that's probably the ONLY thing that kinda made me upset is that we (meaning coaches and players) quit after that Hardman fumble.

The penalty on the punt =turnover. Penalties on third down when we are ready to get off the field = turnover.

From the standpoint of we are going to run right at you until you can't stop it, we absolutely did play the same game. The difference was auburn had a defensive front that didn't wear out.

The punt and punt return units were a disaster in general.

It was a terrible throw. It wouldn't have been a TD as Ridley had to dive for it. He still should have caught it
