You don't seem to appreciate the definition of cupcake.
Tennessee is a cupcake
Vandy is a cupcake.
Arkansas is a cupcake.
All three have many many wins against Georgia. And all three have had them recently.
Georgia was a cupcake in 2010. Are we a cupcake now?
This is dumb.

The stadium started emptying out before end of second quarter and was a ghost town by end of third. Those kids played in front of the vendors and clean up staff.
And their families and friends, and for everyone watching on the TeeVee.
It was also over 100* in the stands, as you yourself mentioned in HGMF thread, these should be nooners, not in the heat of the day.
If that were a nooner [as God intended] instead of 4PM, there'd be alot more people still in seats through the second half.
You know it. I know it.

JAX is officially done after 2021. So, it works

An additional bonus to having a couple nooner snoozers is it's good to take little kids to. This is very important, and often overlooked on forums like this.
With 9 game SEC schedule, there'll still be at least one snoozer against a cupcake.
Also, think of the new variety an additional West game would add to the schedule. Instead of playing the same slate each and every year with only the one variable

I think playing Auburn and TAMU this year is pretty damn exciting, and we get Notre Dame and Georgia Tech.
And hopefully, and SEC Championship Game.
And a bowl game, if not two bowl games.
I don't think our schedule is boring at all.

I thought Auburn and LSU last year was pretty exciting.
I thought Auburn and Mississippi State in 2017 was pretty exciting.

Half of the conference is below average.
Add another conference game and you add more of the same.
If you cant comprehend it... then your post is 100% correct.
I'd rather control our schedule and pick/choose who we think is an exciting game/road trip. The only 9th conference game that ever matters is the CCG in Atlanta.

There were still 30000 fans in the second half.
I've baked out there against coastal carolina to see Ray Drew get his first game time snaps.
College football fans stay.
College kids leave and get drunk.
Moms and dads get their kids out of the sun.
And the silver dawgs get their senior special at the golden corral.
But the college football fans stay.

Great.
But, how about all of that ....every single bit of it......PLUS an SeC west game this Saturday instead of Arkansas state?
SEC vs SEC would be better than this bullshite. Can’t believe it actually has to be argued.

You are obtusely dismissing everything I've said.
Make it a 12 game SEC schedule.
Why not?
ETA I didn't downvote you. I enjoy the conversation.

Hard to disagree, but I will say this - we DO play GA Tech every year, so there's that...

Cool. You are super righteous and a superior fan to hundreds of thousands of other fans.
Who cares though.
You are one vote. You voted to stay. While tens of thousands in Sanford and hundreds of thousands more at home voted not to.
That’s a landslide result any way you look at it proving that people would rather watch a conference game.

You honestly dont care about recruits and underclassmen?
Seriously

This is my only issue... No reason to help those schools achieve relevance. It's not a violent opposition, but obviously allowing one of those programs to sneak up and steal a win would be a big mistake.
We get 2 cupcakes a year (sometimes 3), one of them should be an in state school
Rig is correct on this, keeping the money at home is good for the whole state, it supports athletic departments right here at home where almost all of us have friends, family and neighbors attending - South Carolina does this and I respect them for it
Another bonus? We'd get more ticket sales and more money spent in Athens on game days - fans and students of teams like GA State and GA Southern would for damn sure travel to see their team on the big stage
It would be a good financial decision all the way around

Dumb.
One, there’s ebbs and flows. Programs that are down now won’t be down forever.
Two, some years the ninth game might be against a down program, but some years it will not.
Three, if you think SEC cupcakes are the equivalent of Murray State cupcakes then you are contradicting your own damn argument when you go on and on about how great and righteous cupcake games are.
Makes literally no sense.

Or upperclassmen stuck on the bench, but work their arse off everyday all the same.

It was cool to see McBride get early reps. It was cool to see Netori rewarded with playing time. And I always get a kick seeing the human victory cigar (Prather Hudson).
You are spot on.

Deeprig is right.
You can get all 13 teams. But there are crappy teams each year. About 4 of them. And there are bad teams that can't get a winning conference record. Probably 5 more.
If you can't comprehend how average, below average, and above average works, replying to you makes no sense.
You honestly think a playoff committee gives a damn that we beat vandy, Tennessee, or Missouri? The only 9th conference game that matters is in Atlanta.

It is true.
Georgia Southern always represents well when we play them. A lot of their fans are tough to stomach (similar to the obnoxious tennessee fan). But their money spends well.
