A 3 star in high school who ended up being one of the best safeties we have had at UGA. Is he in your top 5 all time defensive backs to play at UGA? My buddy actually thinks he is better than Greg Blue and Thomas Davis... ehh

I like Reed a lot, but those two, Sean Jones, and Reshad Jones were better safeties.

Not even close.

Reed is better in today's game, Blue and Davis would get tossed 5 minutes in for head hunting and lip jar cred ...

So far he's been very good, but calling him a top 5 all-time UGA DB is an enormous reach. Let's see how his senior season plays out first.

Resuad Jones doesn't belong in the same sentence as the other three. He underachieved here.

Speaking of star to performance A.Thomas has been performing like a darn 6 star.yes I know there are only 5.

This. Both would be LBs today. shite, Davis has been his entire pro career. Reed is vastly superior to both in coverage.

I liked Kirby more than I like reed.
I like reed a lot. He is a great story.
But he's got some work to do to get into the elite conversation.

Rashad Jones is the most underappreciated safety ever. He's known for one bad tackle.

He was a 5th round draft pick. He was fine, but it’s not like he was great here by any means.
Nowhere near the player he is now.

He isn't the best db in the country but if we had 4 of him back there we'd have the best secondary in the country.

Not at all. He underachieved given his status as a recruit and left before making any major impact in college.
He's turned into a fine pro and is obviously very talented, but his time at UGA was underwhelming.

Reshad Jones against GT in 2009 had one of the best games I've ever seen a safety play in college football

Your buddy is obviously a youngster. T Davis was a BEAST. One of the best I've ever seen

Baker is better, but not sure about a second better one.

Thomas Davis struck fear in the hearts of receivers crossing the middle. Hardest hitting DB I ever saw.

And the QB....at the same time.
He shoulda been arrested for what he did to Charlie Whitehurst in Death Valley. I think that was his first game.
