Wild dawg can be two back...it’s really just taking your best athlete and putting it in his hands. One was a pull and the other was a give but it looks like a read.

Yeah. You're going to have to provde a link to these statements. I never saw anybody say he couldn't coach or thta we would never win 10 games again.

I saw many, myself included, that said he made a lot of istakes in 2016, and it's silly to say he didn't.

I also saw some on here say the cupboard was bare. Granted we had several freshmen make significant contributions, but a ton of contributions were made bey Seniors and Juniors thtaw ere brought in by Richt.

All of that said, can we agree on these assessments?

1. Kirby showed a lot of improvement in 2017. (To put it mildly)
2. Kirby has changed the attitude and culture of this football program.
3. Richt put a lot of the puzzle for this year, but if he had been HC, we might not (probably) have gotten as far as we did.

We should all say that Smart was the right choice and is doing a great job.

We should also acknowledge that a lot of credit for this years success should go to Mark Richt.

It's clear, to me at least, that Kirby will be able to get us where we want to be.

Swift has 1 pass attempt on the year from the red zone. I don't remember if that was a toss to him or from the wild dawg. Having fields next year will help that throwing threat.

The wild dog is taking the QB out of the normal QB spot and inserting a running back (or WR) in that slot. If we put Fields back there, he is a QB and not a running back. Putting Fields back there is not running the wild dog. It is putting your second string QB in for a play or two.

Agreed. Unless they get wrinkly and line up Fields out in the slot like Fromm in the Rose Bowl 2OT TD of Michel's.

I expect that we'll see JF1 in lots of RZ packages where the WildDawg would have previously been called - with the added potential for legitimate passing.

Sounds nice in theory, doesn't it.

Yeah, bumping this again. But worthy given our dreadful gameplan Saturday.
