If only it were that easy. I'm all about the we will be back narrative however Bama is not changing conferences and they are still loaded and the kids that took it to us in the second half were both True Freshman. Going to need to improve a lot to beat them.

My pain is not near subsided.

Tua was good, but Parrish got plain out picked on. He will be gone, and I don't see even a freshman getting picked on any worse than that. Odds are that the secondary will be better next year. I think we are bringing in tons of depth and talent to our linebackers next year as well!

As one article put it...."One good Cover 2 away from National Champions"

Future is bright my friends!

We have seen talented Freshman come in and get abused " Brendan Langley" and we will also probably lose Deandre Baker who was a fricking animal all season. We aren't improving on D after losing Carter, Bellamy, Baker and the legend Roquan Smith. In a few years maybe but Parrish was an eyesore.

Agreed. Freshmen can always be worse.

That said... we need Baker back.
Same for our DL and Godwin.

They should all be back. None of them are elite at the next level. TT might have the best chance at that and to be honest, UGA competing for championships is the best they will probably ever get.

Baker shut things down in the playoffs. The only thing suspect might be his tackling against elite college players. But he played shutdown for us.

Ledbetter and Thompson could go if they aren't made for college (think isaiah mckenzie). But they both have room to improve their tape. Thompson lowering his head and trying for the knockout shot on that Tua scramble pissed me off.

So freaken sick and tired of saying wait until next year, every year. Ugh.

And with all the Seniors leaving this year, I'm not feeling great about next season. I think we will be good. Probably win the East. But another SEC title and another trip to the CFP? I don't know about that.
