Isaac Nauta: ‘We don’t forget’

“It’s always tough to look back on, watching the film from last year brought up some bad memories,” said Nauta, referencing the Bulldogs’ 26-23 overtime loss to the Crimson Tide in the College Football Playoff Championship Game last January in Atlanta.
“We used that game as a learning tool to see what we could have done better, and I think that’s a lot of stuff we focused on in practice this week to fix and make sure we capitalize on those drives and make sure that we execute and get that extra first down and extend more drives.
“We’ve been working on it, we don’t forget.”
“Obviously we left that game with a bad taste in our mouths, so it will be fun to go out there and try to get that taste out,” Nauta said.
“You look at these games, they come down to one or two plays it seems like, and we want to make sure that this time we’re on the other side of those one or two plays and get the win."
“They’re a solid team, we’re a solid team, it should be a great game.”
Nauta, who was recruited by Nick Saban and Lane Kiffin at Alabama, indicated the Bulldogs’ offensive game plan will be set with a high-scoring game in mind.
“With them being as explosive as they are on offense, we need to score when we get the ball, and there needs to be that urgency as well,” Nauta said. “We have to make sure we execute and take advantage of every drive and try to get points on the board.”
Love this man. He is one hell of a TE.

I honestly think if we're to beat Bama, he needs to be a part of the game plan. He's a threat we need to utilize; good things happen when he gets the ball in his hands.

Ever since I complimented your style of bolding key statements, youve gone too far. There is now too much bolded in your last few of these. Just trim it back to what you were originally doing.

No. I've always put any quotes in bold.

He was quoted a lot in that article that's why there are so many sentences in bold.

The coaches and players need to worry less about last game and concentrate on this game.

I don't think any of them are worried about it... The media members just don't have anything else to ask them it seems. Kirby has been pretty clear on that front that he's gotten what he felt like he could out of the tape, but otherwise, they're focused on this year's Bama and this year's UGA... This whole "last game" thing is much ado about nothing IMO based on media members' agendas.

Thank goodness he's a Junior. Hopefully, we won't lose him at the end of the season to the draft.

Most seem to think he will be gone barring poor performances to close out the year or a surprisingly low draft grade.

Who is "most?" I think he is one of the best TE's in the SEC.

Thats exactly why he would leave.
He has the physical tools to be great. He is having a good bounce back season after a mediocre soph season, and plus he is a very good blocker.
He is the total package for a TE, and could be drafted on the second day of the draft this year. No reason to stay if thats the case.

"Could" is a tricky thing, though. He also "could" win the Heisman if he stays. He "could" win a national championship, or even a second national championship if he stays. A lot of things "could" happen. There's no shortage of talented athletes who left college because they "could" make it to the pros in a sport and subsequently came to regret the decision.

247 says he is likely gone alone with Holyfield and Ridley.
