He wasn't exactly playing all that well and this is his second time being caught with weed. I'll have to go back and check the tapes but I don't really remember a game in which I felt his presence all that well.

He gets the Cornelius Washington award for physical specimens who have almost no impact on the game.

Depth is always a good thing. Bama is hurting on defense right now with their injuries.

It's good for depth, if no other reason. If he's not one of the best 2 ILBs, he won't start.

He was the 3rd leading tackler before his suspension.

No, this is the worst thing to happen to UGA athletics since Jan Kemp.

You may want to check out the Mississippi State and Notre Dame games. The kid was everywhere. He may not start but I'll be shocked if he doesn't get the majority of snaps.

He made about as many tackles as an ILB can when playing next to Roquan

Might as well have given us the death penalty instead of allowing him back

Are you nuts?

Our defense is noticeably better with him out there.

Yards per rush with Patrick is 2.86.
Yards per rush without is 3.35

Passing stats with Patrick is 154 ypg with 2 TDs and 4 INTs (5games).
Passing stats without is 179 ypg with 6 TDs and 3 INTs (4 games).

3rd down conversion with is 28.3%

3rd down conversion without is 35.7%

Teams with a winning record in the first 5 games is 3.
Teams with a winning record in the last 4 games is 1.

Patrick was our 2nd leading tackler last season, behind Smith. I've seen him get caught out of position a few times this year, but no more than any other ILB except Roquan. Getting Patrick back is a big plus.

Patrick is an upgrade over Carter who is good in his own right. Our defense was playing its best ball of the season when we had Patrick playing next to Roquan.

He is the 4th leading tackler in tackles per game presently.

The guy isn't blitzing. He isn't flashy in our current scheme. But he is solid.

In Pruitt's scheme, he is an upgrade over Ramik Wilson. He will be a lot quieter on this defense. But he's attacking his blocks and stuffing the run.

Patrick is not a great pass rusher, but he gives us more depth and he's good against the run. That's where we need him.

Your downvote/upvote ratio might be just as bad as Lucius Clay's. It's impressive

So, he ranks 4th even after missing 4 games?

Agree to disagree. No. He's not Lorenzo Carter. But like Ramik Wilson, he is very versatile (we can walk him up on the edge or in the A gap and he is effective on blitzes). The difference between Tucker and Pruitt is that we aren't changing our looks with the ILB as much. We aren't asking them to do more than cover inside out against the run.
