I think I may know Coach Sam Pittman Personally

I’ve done a lot of googling but can’t find a real good bio that goes way back. A dawgranter’s thread on SECRant today caused me to think about this again. I always thought there was something about that guy and now I’m wondering if we went to school together. Of course all of us would look a little different going back forty years ago. We’re about the same age. Anyone have some good bio links?

Right, and I guess what I couldn’t tell for sure was whether he ever attended the U of A as a student. Pittsburg St. isn’t that far away and I was wondering if he might have transferred.

Ah... interesting. No clue. You should draft an email up to him... for real. Better than decent chance it's spittman@sports.uga.edu

I’m going to pursue this. I guess for whatever reason I didn’t pay much attention to the issue and passed it off as well I was familiar with him from his coaching at the U of A before coming to UGA. But when I pulled his picture up and looked at his head and face it really made me wonder. I used to eat frequently with the Sam I knew (thought his last name was Pittman) and I never knew what happened to him.
Edit: Mystery solved. Made a phone call to a Pittsburg State connected friend of mine and the guy I was thinking of was Sam with a last name similar to Pittman but was not the coach.

Just for you Spiffaroo I’ll post her picture in this thread. Now I’m not saying I’ll bring her back in the avi but I just might do at some point, variety being the spice of life and all. Additionally, I hope that you have moved on from the crazy ones and have found a good level headed, salt of the earth companion like the fishing girl. You know it makes life so much easier and recreational activities so much more enjoyable.
