Is it just me or has our shade of Red has become more "cherry"?

I feel like 2000-2012 we had a much deeper and better looking red. It could be due to TVs being much more clearer these days but I still think the shade has changed. I think you can see the difference in the helmets moreso than the jerseys See the two pictures below to illustrate my point.

Does the rant agree or am I just seeing things?

Like the deep red of the 1980 team, holds up under sun light and does not wash out under the lights

Like I said it could be just the way technology has evolved. But the old number format was better than the huge numbers we have now

A big part of it is day time. Our uniforms have always looked way better at night.

2012 day game:

2012 night game:

2018 day game:

2018 night game:

Any color/fabric/paint experts can feel free to point out why exactly this is.

Anything that affects lighting (stadium, indoor v outdoor, weather) also obviously monkeys with the look.

There's a little difference in the color but at least its not like the change from silver to gray.

There have been a couple games over the past few years that our jerseys looked almost pink during the day on TV. Wasn’t s fan of that.

95% of people today walk around with a camera in their pocket. But none of them understand how it works apparently. Ha ha

The color changing is probably more of the fabric type and the way the color itself is taking to the fabric. Football jerseys have changed a lot in the last fifteen years in terms of the polyester that’s being used. Todays fabrics are far more stretchy than they used to be. Good chance this may have something to do with that. Also colors look different in different lighting. Automotive body shops use a special light, when color matching, that emits a light that is comparable to sunlight to be able to match paint. I would think it has something to do with one of these personally.

Color looks the same to me. I do hate the new round number font.

Why does LSU wear blue and yellow uniforms on tv, but then turn around and wear purple and yellow in real life?

UGA still uses the same trademarked color code of red they always have, it's the fabric that has drastically changed, which reflects light differently than the old jerseys. That's why you're noticing a slight difference.

I just want Nike to get the fricking silver britches right. They do it for the Raiders, FFS.

Why does Trump look more orange on networks that hate him?
Think hue resolution lense-intake manipulation
Repub channel dials it down
Commie channels all it dial up
Only 1 hue is True
Trust the tan
