I hope it has been a miserable, angry, grinding week of practice,

And the boys come out pissed off like a raging bull with a chainsaw for a dick...

Frikken slaughter Kentucky, Tech, and I hope a rematch with auburn where "We beat the Dog Crap out of them" has been played over and over and over again.

I hope in the end we can say We beat the tiger crap, surrender eagle crap, or plainsman crap out of them.

I could see this loss being similar to the fire that sent the Stafford/Moreno or Murray/Gurley Dawgs on a tear.

I honestly think AU was just sky high more than anything else.

Of ALLLLL of Saban's national championships, only 1 was undefeated. This team will rebound. They actually did a lot of things right in the game, just too many wrongs at the absolute wrong time. 3 screens for TDs...all on full blitzes from the opposite side, not really sure outside of coaching indicators better or calling better defenses, what they could do.

We will beat the cat shite outta Kentucky, frick Tech, then beat the cat shite outta the eagle as he poops on the plainsmen below

Speaking of this week. I saw in another thread (not sure which) that Ben Cleveland was making moves? Does anyone know if it's because he happens to be breaking out or if they think a change is best after Au?

He's been in the 2 deep all season. Don't know that anyone can tell you whether it's because he's earning time or if it's to spark competition... will probably have to wait to see how the game plays out this week to have any real insight.

He offers a size advantage over Baker (has like 40-45 pounds on him I believe), though Kindly had easily his worst game against Auburn with D. Brown tossing him around like a rag doll... Ultimately, D Brown is a 5* DT for a reason, so not sure you fault 3* Kindley too heavily there.. it was just a bad 1:1 matchup and he was going to need help most likely no matter what. Cleveland while a 4/5* athlete likely doesn't offer a substantial improvement there. Baker seemed more lost overall IMO... often trying to figure out who he's supposed to be blocking. This wasn't the first game. He's had good games as well, but this was not his only poor performance... would have to assume that if Cleveland takes a some time in a spot, it's more likely to be Baker's.

Hate to single one player out because the entire OL played poorly last weekend, but Baker has been kinda underwhelming for much of the season.

I think Wilson takes his spot at Guard next year. Baker has been pretty underwhelming lately.

Who do you project at RT in 18 in that scenario, Cleveland? Would have to imagine that Andrew Thomas moves over to LT with Wynn vacating the spot.

I'd assume that Wilson/Cleveland battle out for the other OT position, then Netori Johnson, Justin Shaffer, Kindley, and hopefully Jamaree Salyer are battling out for the LG/RG positions... Even with Galliard not being an ideal body type for OC, I'd be surprised if we made a change there as well.

I do think our biggest issue was off the edge and that is schematic.

Yes. I think Cleveland starts at RT next year. He's been running with the 2's there and has been working with the 1's some this week at guard. Maybe he's the one fills in at LG next year, but I think that Cleveland and Wilson both start for us next year at some position.

Can you clarify? I mean... Andrew Thomas was getting beat by Holland... but he's a freshman and Holland has been very good this season... that he was left 1-1 with him at all was probably a bad scheme to begin with...

But, no, I would say fundamentally, we were weakest up the middle against Auburn... Thomas did a good job of trying to ride Holland back 7-10 yards to buy time even when he was beat... the issue was there was no pocket for Jake to step up into fairly often. DL twist move beat us inside over and over...

I am saying we needed a back to chip the edge rushers.

Our only hope was Max protection and send 2 guys out.

Be nice when a big tall lanky receiver with a long gate and range will be out there as a target.

Problem in the middle to me was blitzing the gaps.

If you caught the latest all access video (LINK ) you'll hear Pittman give Cleveland a lot of praise at times. So it could be a combination of Bakers play and Cleveland getting better.
