The unnecessary roughness called on Tyler Clark (that effectively gave Missouri a TD) was a seriously bad call. The Georgia player tapped Lock's chest...where was there any roughing the passer?

It was the wimpiest call I had seen in a long time...until the unsportsmanlike conduct on Cade Mays in the 4th quarter (for minimally pushing back on the Mizzou defensive lineman that shoved him).

Obviously the outcome of the game wasn't changed but these calls were SO bad it makes you wonder why this guy is referring a contact sport.

It's the same guy who went to tech and fricked us with the fake celebration penalty on AJ Green.

Seems like a conflict of interest to ref a rival's sports ball game. I don't know why they allow that.

The late hit on Fromm no call was terrible. He took a hit to the back on a handoff?

If that's true, then the program seriously needs to file for review. Get this asshat disciplined by the SEC or at least prohibited from calling games involving UGA.

The announcers even called it out. "This crew needs to get tougher."

That Umpire was in the pocket of Missouri. That penalty he called on Mayes was pathetic.

I agree it was a bad call but Clark should know better than to do something that stupid.

I've read that the roughing the passer was going at the legs of the qb.

And the non call hit on fromm was the play after a run (fake handoff)

The roughing the passer call was on Ledbetter.

You can argue that umpire was. But we got some generous calls as well.

Ok, just saw the missed roughing the passer on Fromm for the first time. That’s an absurd call to miss.

Here’s an article with clips of both calls.

The call on UGA was bullshite. But I actually agree with the non-call on Fromm. There’s no way the D lineman could’ve known he didn’t have the ball. It wasn’t a cheap shot.

Who was the referee?

I used to keep track of SEC officiating especially when these 2 idiots were calling games

I know Penn is gone but Morpheus is still around.

You're right. This article got it wrong when they said Clark was called...it was Ledbetter with the little push. Smart livid over roughing call

Replay here Pretty wimpy to call roughing...and too bad they can't call a QB for diving, like in hockey.

Oh, it's true. Marc Curles is a GT alum. Same official that called a celebration penalty on AJ Green in 2009 when he scored and just pointed at the UGA band. As a result, LSU had 15 extra yards of field position before the ball was even kicked off. And then they got even better position, thanks to a directional kick and a good return. They then marched down and scored the winning TD.

There was another bs celebration call in that 2009 LSU game on Orson Charles for jumping up and giving the first down signal after an amazing catch.

Marc Curles made that one, too. He's from my neck of the woods...I went to elementary school with him. He never liked UGA as a kid.

When I saw the officiating crew and Marc Curles was the head official I thought that dude always makes judgement calls against Georgia. I remember he was the guy that called the penalty on AJ Green that gave LSU great field position so they could win the game.

I wish he never refereed another Georgia game.

Curles is a dumb Georgia Tech graduate who couldn't hack it and is forced to work as a lowly financial planner. The man is bitter and hates UGA. After the A. J. Green fiasco Curles should have been banned from ever working a Georgia game.
