It blows. The worst is those assholes at the red and black. They HAVE to run a fricking story everytime someone gets in trouble. That's the first thing that comes up when googling my name. frick those guys.

Yeah that's really fricked up. They really have no original contributions so it's just a glorified crime journal now.

Courtesy of lotto players all over GA... nice. But I laugh at PoliSci majors (and I'm one myself). Talk about a useless degree... it's only good to get an easy GPA and get into law school.

Yeah I was dumb when I chose my major. I really wanted to go to law school and be involved in politics. Then I realized that the odds just weren't in my favor and the market for lawyers was terrible so I got an internship and am going into staffing. Good money and a growth industry.

One of my friends got a political science degree for undergrad and masters in accounting. Now he works for KPMG. Alot of accounting programs out there requires no prior accounting classes like at UNC.

"95-100% placement rate (average starting salaries in the 50’s)" Pretty sick

In staffing, here's a word of advice. Have some fricking idea what the skill is that you are selling and have some way to vet it, instead of using your customers to do it for you. I've been through three agencies and a dozen "technicians" in 2012 alone.
I hate you fricking people.

I mean we're not going to know the specifics of the software we recruit for but in the past I've always had a general understanding of the modules I recruited for and what they did. I could be conversational about it which is really all you need.

honestly i don't want to practice or get into law, i just want the degree for the contractual side of it to couple with my undergrad degrees. i wanna go post grad in some capacity and i saw this as the best fit. thus far at least.
A real estate management or aquisition company would like that law degree.

Unfortunately, the glass ceiling is a lot lower for accountants that don't have their CPAs. Having a MAcc is still lucrative but if you want to hit that six figure salary you might as well try to get qualified to sit for the exam.

Congrats man!
I'm also graduating in December! And I'm excited to start Work after graduation.
I'm getting into the IT Consulting field, so my firm and your firm might be competitors, lol.

You must be a POLS major too.
Considering that SPIA is a joke of a school, I wonder how many of its grass actually go on to law school or work in politics. If this thread is any indication, not too many.

Ya, Law School is not the best deal right now unless you have enough $ to go and not plan on practicing. Recruiters can make nice $, but there are an asspile of them and the competition is fierce. Regardsless, don't let the first 5 to 7 years out of school define you and your career. If you can, take a job overseas.
