Many players leave early onto to become UDFA and fall off into obscurity. Glad he decided to come back, though.

For a lot of guys, the thinking is that with the new pay structure that you really want to get to that 2nd contract as fast as possible. The issue is that a lot of your 4th-7th round players don't see a 2nd contract.

I was worried he was going to try his hand on the UDFA market because of his issues in the classroom. I've heard a lot on campus about his grades being arse cheeks and his apathy regarding playing school.

Godwin has improved every year he's been here - could see him boosting his stock a couple of rounds if he balls out.
