My favorite thing about Godwin, he's one of the few players that Kirby allows(ed) to speak to the media, he had the absolute perfect, uniquely Georgia country-black accent. It is one of the most beautiful accents in all of the world. For 20 years, rappers have tried to imitate it to make shite rhyme that doesn't rhyme, or to throw a certain feel on a track, but with Godwin, it is real.

Southern accents in general vary by region, but the different black vernaculars within the South have largely been ignored by the linguistic anthropologists.

I urge any of you to find an interview with Godwin online, close your eyes, and just listen to the man talk.
