UTk is down and out and it's so great that we no longer go into shock worrying about this game. We should win comfortably. If not then we have serious problems.

The best thing though is that Auburn and Florida play each other and one of them HAS to lose. The football gods have truly blessed us with a great weekend of football. Whether it be the War Eagle Tiger Plainsmen or the Florida Lizards taking the L, we will all have a reason to raise a glass and celebrate.

Glory Glory to Ole Georgia.

Slow your roll, there, Dr Pepper junkie.

Let's leave Knoxville with a win before we eulogize the Vols. I don't think they're any more of a threat than you do, but they play the games for a reason.

This has the potential to be one of the most bitter post game weeks in UGA history. Five games in and 75% of the (message board) fan base will be on suicide watch because we didn't impose our will in an SEC road game.

Notice the operative word "should" in my post.

I get that, but our fan base has lost their damned mind in little to no time assuming that the outcomes are all but decided, ahead of the SECCG.

I 100% agree with you on that. My OP was more-so about the fact that AU or UF has to lose. UT will put up a fight in the first half no doubt but this isn't a top 10 Notre Dame. If this is a close game by the end it will be 100% on our coaching staff and players.

It isnt a blowout without turnovers. And a lot of that is in tennessee to not protect the football.

2017 : UT had 4 turnovers
2018 : UT had 1 turnover and it was a football game until the 4th quarter.

UGA hasn't hit on our deep throws (we throw them contrary to popular opinion. Fromm is putting them on receivers hands contrary to popular opinion. But we dont catch them. And without the deep home runs, it takes turnovers to pound the opponent)

I seem to not give a shite about worrying about Nichols state. Need to take care of business on the field they will be pulling out all the stops. Head on a swivel.

I would love to see those stats. I imagine they are better than than you think. I can't seem to find that breakdown.

I don't have the stats. But I don't recall a throw by Fromm against Notre Dame that didn't hit a receivers hands except for the one time it was tipped by the defender as Fromm released it.

The only poor throw was the dig route to Blaylock that hit the ground (no real pressure on Fromm. He just didn't elevate the throw. It still hit Blaylock's hands). All of the other misses were on the money. Either the defender made a great play or the receiver didn't complete the play.

People complain that we don't throw deep. We do. All it takes is hitting one or two of those to completely change games. People complain that we don't target Pickens. Well, you get more targets when you hold onto the chances you get (no one gets more targets once we hit 4th down). We only had 59 offensive snaps against ND. At least 8 of those were shots downfield (some of which were forced to checkdowns due to blitz or coverage).

Well... It can be, it just tends to be less common. A 3 and out against a bad Tennessee can be nearly as good as a turnover.

If we want a blowout, it will definitely take some combination of: multiple plus turnover margin, high percentage of 3 and outs or no more than 1 first down conversion possessions for UT, high advantage in starting field position our way (shanked punts from them or big returns for us for example), or connecting on more big, explosive plays leading to quick strike scores or shorter drive lengths compared to our average.

I won’t be happy unless we beat them worse than Florida did.
