Apparently he looked good catching balls out of the backfield as well, including a wheel route which he took 50 yards for a TD

Hadn't heard severity, but was told concussion. On the upside, it sounds like DJ Daniel performed well with the 1's.

Averaging 5-6 yards a carry between the tackles... Cutting well. Catching the ball or if the backfield well... Had the 50+ yd wheel route TD that was mentioned. In short, it's more than just responding well to contact.

Hopefully we’ll hear in the upcoming weeks how the LOS on both sides are shaping up.
Listening to that presser, either the offensive line isn't passing that well or the defensive line is balling out.

Or coach speak to not give anything away, motivate 1s, keep the competition going, and encourage others to keep up the good work ethic

Recapping what I saw on other boards, FWIW:

-Fromm had a rough day
-Zeus had a 50 yard wheel route and looked really good overall
-Nakobe Dean was getting reps with the first team defense
-Pickens made an amazing one hand catch in traffic.
-first team D looked elite
-“no one will stop our running game unless they load the box”
-James Cook is bulked up and “is now big enough to run inside.”

Probably. Gotta wonder how much of that is the horrible lack of WR experience.

People have to keep in mind that defense will always look better than offense in such situations. Offense still has to work on timing, plus defense has an easier time diagnosing plays

Azeez Ojulari put on 10 lbs of muscle during the offseason and is now listed at 6’3 250. Something tells me this guy is going to be unstoppable.

Seems like our defense is doing a very good job of keeping passing yards to a minimum and constricting the field. That could be why Fromm had a rough day. The secondary has a ton of speed and elite players out there making our young WRs work extra hard which will pay off against the competition we will face this season.

The one that Ridley made against ND was pretty sick too.

You’ve got the wrong WR here.
