All I've ever supported was developing Fields and using him in a way that makes sense. We didn't do that in my opinion. I'm not going to continue wasting time talking about Fields. Dude is gone and it's time to move on.
I'm not even sure this kid will ever start for UGA. His ranking discrepancy is alarming. His athleticism and highlight videos look great, but then they always do.

He looks like a decent player...but as many here are quick to point out about Fields...first read not there, tuck and run.
His throwing mechanics are going to need a lot of work.

Fields was lost. Both on the field and in the film room. If he doesn’t find a school with a very simple offense, he won’t be effective. I wish him the best, but Chaney did everything he could to develop the kid.

If you watched the QB1 show with Fields, that was all he did in high school, 3 step drop look to throw the go route and if it wasn't there tuck and run. Or he just ran an RPO. Which is fine if that is what kind off system you are running, but UGA, Bama, Clemson and even Oklahoma to an extent are more complex than that. It is easy to look all world throwing against air, but put a defender in someones face and they get happy feet.

Don't care. He's gone. Move on. I'm not going to continue to argue about Fields, because it doesn't matter anymore. Onto the next guy.

I don’t think we can say what Fields can do in the future. What we can take from the situation is that he didn’t beat out Fromm this year and he was a distraction. That’s what is disappointing about all of this.

Agree. IMO, the kid couldn't read a defense. Needed more time to develop but I guess he didn't have the patience. No big deal to me. This happens all the time in college football. Time to move on.

But Trent Dilfer says he was the best he’s seen in 10 years. That hasn’t to get him some percentage of snaps.

The hosts on 92.9 yesterday kept referring to Fields as a Heisman contender. How do you call a guy a Heisman contender that has not shown anything of the sort except to be an athletic black guy?
Will he be? Remains to be seen but they were saying we were losing a Heisman contender as if he threw for 30 TDs and 3500 yds this year.
