Do Dawgs become a pass oriented offense?

Chubb and Michel are gone. Swift fits Michel's mold as do James Cook. It's hard to think Zeus will be 100% when the season starts and the offense won't be built around the running of Holyfield and Herrien. The Oline may be the best I've seen with all that talent to cherry pick from. Fromm will be dam good for 2018. I'm predicting 60/40 pass.

No way. If our OL is that good, we may run it even more. This is doubly so when we have a QB coming in who can keep it and run like Michel.

I believe that Chaney will build the offensive approach to match our talent.
That said... I like the balanced 50/50 playcalling on 1st down. Build the 2nd and 3rd down play calling off of down and distance.
We will be more pass oriented if we take this approach for a full season. I'd guess 60run/40pass.

Need to be balanced, pretty much 50-50, no more run heavy 60-40, keep defenses on their toes with both runs and passes.
2nd half offensive conservative play calling, terrible DB play, and blind fukkin refs play cost us a Natty, period......

Probably pretty balanced, but we should be able to mash most teams with our OL.

I like our offense a lot next year. Oline will be great, 2nd year for Fromm, Swift/Cook/Holyfield & maybe Zeus. Ridley, Mecole etc. We're going to be nasty.
I'm going to miss Chubb and Michel though. DGD's.

Holyfield and Herrien can combine to fill the Chubb position of pound the ball while Swift gives us the speed spot. Develop the game plan around 4 RBs rotating and more from throwing 20-25 passes a game.

I don’t view herrien as a guy that is going to “pound the ball”. Certainly Holyfield and White can fill that role though

How long do people expect Zeus to be recovering?

He probably isn't exactly going to be bouncing back, since the dude hasn't had much in the way of worshippers in over 2,000 years.

he was in dawgnation recently and expected to be running and practicing in fall camp. that doesn't mean full contact.
Even when he is full contact, how quickly until he trusts his knee. That is probably the more important question.

It is pretty clear that Kirby wants the identity of this football team to be based on physically man handling the opponent. That will consist of running the ball until we are stopped. Will we adjust based on talent and skill players? I believe so. However, we aren't reeling in the top OL and RB recruits for them to pass block 60% of the game.

I was reviewing the roster today and was surprised to see how big herrien actually is. I always thought of him as little shifty guy but he was listed pretty big. 6 ft and 200
