What's funny about this is when he was a recruit committed to UGA he periscoped (social media app where live streams started) his UT visit and was shouting "Go Dawgs" and "Tennessee Sucks" in every meeting on video.

And then what about players on teams/in sports that don't turn a profit? Any solution will have to have across-the-board applicability

Perfect. Let them all transfer. We don't own these kids, and they deserve the same freedom everyone else has. If they're not playing, don't get along with the coach, aren't growing, or are just homesick let them go. Free up a spot for someone who wants to be there or give the scholarship to a deserving walk-on.

Come on. Athens is a nice place to be, and it's 45 minutes from Atlanta. The program, facilities, and education are first class. There's no shortage of people who would love to be there. UGA will be just fine. Some other schools, however, this will hurt a bit more.

We’re dealing with mostly single-parent, semi-literate “student athletes” with really no allegiance to any school. CFB is about to go the same way that CBB is headed, to a minor league system. The worm is turning and college sports is about to be left to the true student athlete. Downvotes by idiots welcome. Watch it happen. Remember who said it here.
