So a clear historical example that a 10 seed sits up better for a sweet 16 run.

That's what I've been saying for 2 weeks

Need to slow down so we don't end up 8 or 9 seed if we wanna better chance at Sweet 16.

Those stats are very believable and probably even MORE so this year with the #1s out there

That’d be brutal hoping we’re a 7 or 10 seed and maybe we catch a little fire and go on a Sweet 16 run

Lunardi has also bumped us to #9 with the privilege of playing UConn and Duke.

Kinda hoping we lose tomorrow to be honest.

I mentioned on the main board yesrday but I've changed my thinking with our seed. Originally I was looking ahead to the next round to see what would better position us for a sweet 16, and obviously getting Duke/Houston in our 2nd game would suck arse.

But the more I think about it, we are in no position as a fanbase to be getting that far ahead of ourselves lol. Before the season began I'm pretty sure that any of our fanbase would have set an ultimate goal of simply making the tournametn. It's been so long that hey, let's just make it. Well we've done that, but why not go a teeny bit more and win a game? With that in mind I want whatever gives us the very best chance to win one. If that's as an 8/9 against an 8/9, as opposed to being a 10 and drawging a 7, then so be it.

I don't disagree.

I was 11 last time we won one and don't remember it at all. I remember the 2002 football season vividly but I guess I didn't watch basketball until 2005ish. My dad has no interest despite being a diehard football fan so probably why.

So yes, seeing a win I remember would be huge. UConn is not the 8 seed I want though.

If we lose in the first round, are we firing White again?

The way we have been playing, we could certainly take out and 8, 9 or 7 seed right now. I personally would like a better chance at moving to the Sweet 16, than winning 1 game in the NCAAT. When running on all cylinders and limiting turnovers, we have a team that can compete with anyone outside the top 10 on a regular basis and even those top 10 teams if we play our absolute best and they struggle a little.

I wanna see what this train can do while we have it. No promise for next year and what our players might do.

This team has shown they can hang with and beat the best when it is all going right.

Seems like everyone has us as a #9 seed now.

Bauer has at #9 playing Memphis. Houston #1 seed

Yeah I think we lose tonight for a chance of a 10 seed or we need to beat UK and Bama to maybe move up to 7

Demary and Asa don’t seem to mind the neutral court thus far

Demary just on fire lately and he can lead this team on a run. Just gotta limit dumb turnovers and sloppy shooting

Oh, and dumb fouls (looking at you Godfrey)

And right on cue, Godfrey turns it over with sloppy dribbling. He just needs to not play at this point

So sick of missing free throws while the other team goes 17/17 or something with them

To be fair, most 7 footers are shite FT shooters. I just assume Cyril gonna miss both when he goes to the line and if he makes one, I get pleasantly surprised

Godfrey with a horrible miss on inside layup.

He needs to be on the bench unless we are in major foul trouble. He’s just hasn’t been there the past 5 games.
