What was our reasoning behind switching Tennessee and Auburn?

Auburn bitched about having us and Bama back to back every year.

Right. Why did we agree to this again?

they dont' even play us back to back, there's always a cupcake between. They typically have 3 hard games yearly in LSU/UGA/Bama. UGA/bama are in the last 3 weeks of the year, and every other year those games are both on the road. So they bitched so they could have UGa/LSU/bama pretty evenly spread out and mcgarity's spineless arse gave em what they wanted, history be damned. Since 1892 this game has been played in very late october or november all but twice; the '17 SECCG and the first meeting which was in a february. The more logical solution would be to just wait until after the current batch of schedules expires in 2025 then have them play in Athens twice to get the bama/uga home/away rotation back to normal.

eta: now after looking at auburn's schedule they have LSU the week prior to bama If mcgarity isn't gonna do shite it's at least humorous that the SEC kinda fricked them

We haven't beaten Bama since the last time we were in Tuscaloosa. I'm okay with going back to straighten it all out, on the off chance we don't deal with them in the Benz.

Well, at least in 2020 we only have to play one opponent with a BYE the week before, unlike the 5 we play this year.

If that was the OT pass to Mikey Henderson...I was there.

It’s time to set things right.

Is it weird that I really don't fear Tuscaloosa?

It's not that I think Alabama is going to be easy. I just feel like Alabama is going to play like Alabama no matter where we play them. Might as well try to meet them somewhere we haven't been since 2007.

It will be tough because it will be a revenge game for them.

I don't fear the stadium or the fans, just like any other time I'm just concerned about how elite they are. It will be outstanding if Tua and some of those receivers leave, but at the same time we may go in there with TFr Beck at QB and a revamped OL which is scary. If Fromm leaves early adn for God knows whatever reason Tua comes back I don't give us much of a chance. The good thing is that if tua does leave I'm not really worried about any of their backups and our defense shoudl be lights out.

The last month (especially the last two weeks) for the 4 biggest contenders in the SEC West is absolutely brutal.

Honest to God I forgot that was a possibility. Tua and Jeudy should be locks to leave.

Yeah I mean I can't see any possible reason tua would want to come back to school, and I'm sure the family DGAF since his younger brother is there too. Some of their fans try to tell me he'll be better than tua but I don't buy that for a second, there's simply no way a guy in his 3rd game starting, be it the younger brohter or tyson or whoever else they have, is going to be anywhere near as good as tua.

Their composite ratings don't even come close to matching up. Sure, the kid could really develop once he gets on campus, but that's insane to expect the lower-rated younger brother to just come in and not miss a beat from where Tua left off.

Sounds like the last name Tagovailoa just makes Gumps horny.
