??. My buddy that is big Gator fan was so confident that they were getting Chip Kelly. Guess Chip didn’t want any part of SEC.

Got think they are going to put all their eggs in Scott Frost basket

I thought Tennessee would have been the best place to go. Florida is one of the worst places to go due to unrealistic expectations and a crappy fan base. UCLA is and always will be USC’s baby brother.

Tennessee is has no one overshadowing it and has finally gotten away from the Fuller glory days that 10 wins would feel like Christmas Day to them.

Good. UF has no one to blame but themselves and their $hitty fanbase. I can't imagine anyone who would want to coach in the swamp. What a hellhole.

Kelly has always been a west coast guy. I always felt he would choose UCLA unless Florida was just offering an insane amount of money.

I could never imagine Chip Kelly in the SEC. Just a wrong fit in every way.

Glad he’s back in college football though. Time to make the Saturday late night games great again.

Scott Frost will probably go to Nebraska.

So, does UF go all in on Mullen?

You can win big at uf. It's harder to win big at ut. They have Bama and uga to deal with.

Would of been awesome to hear the Florida Good ole boy booster club deal with Chip. UCLA was perfect for him and his personality.
When Florida said they had vetted him, I really hoped that they would get him.
No clue who they get, but they would do well to get Frost, although I believe it'll be great leverage to his agent to seal Nebraska.

Flarder fans on the Gator Board are now saying they didn't want Kelly anyway because he can't win in the SEC. They always wanted Frost. When Frost goes to Nebraska they will always wanted Houston Nutt.

What happened to the sports radio insider hot take I heard regurgitated 5 thousand times while traveling to Thanksgiving.... about how UCLA is underarmour and chip Kelly and the Nike ceo are blood bros so UCLA won’t ever happen??

Sports radio is as ridiculous as this sewage dump message board is I guess. Shocker

The collective whimper that will come out of Gainesville if they miss on both Kelly and Frost will be epically enjoyable.

Expectations are too high at Florida among administration and their fan base. UCLA will not win big no matter who is coaching them.

Tennessee has lower expectations, big money, one of the largest fan bases in the country, and weak opponents. With a couple of good recruiting classes they could rival Georgia for the East year in and year out. Will take the right guy but the potential is much greater at UT than florida. Florida is a place where coaches go to die.

Seems like UF will end up with someone far down the line. Apparently Frost representatives are talking to UF, but I would be surprised if he turns Nebraska down for UF. I really think Frost could be at Nebraska as long as he wants to be.

A side note: I think Chip Kelly is wise to stay out west. His offense fits the no defense PAC 10/12

I guess, being the native son and all that but Nebraska will never be at the level they were in the 70's,80's
and 90's.

Much better chance for success at UF

It’s just like Kirby coming home to UGA. There’s an emotional connection to the place already, and an innate desire to “restore order” to the once great Nebraska brand...when Mamma calls, Frost will go home.

Yeah, but getting that program turned around is an almost impossible task due to recruiting.

West coast guy choosing a West coast school is hardly surprising.
