and not 2017 would be the year for the Dawgs. Now I'm seeing alleged Dawg fans saying not 2018 but 2019. For 2017 I predicted a 11-1 regular season. 2018 will be easily 12-0. Offensive line was good for 2017. Off that line we loose a 2nd team AllAmerican and plug in 2017 #2 ESPN OT and player. As a junior, Jamaree Salyer was said to be the best lineman at the Opening in 2016. He will start day 1 on the left side. If he don't, we are in dam good shape The defense loses plenty but in Trent and Baker return it will be better than 2017. 12-0 and the winner of the SEC Championship game will be the National Champions.

Still a lot to be determined... there's a reason you play the games; however, the schedule sets up nicely for sure. Going to have to see what kind of production we can get out of the defense with some pretty substantial losses at each level... even where improving in the "talent" side of the equation, the experience won't be there. Similarly, I like our RB stable, but going to be missing that leadership from Nick and Sony...

I like our chances to get back to Atlanta... from there, all bets are off.

We can go undefeated and/or win the the natty any of these next few years. The future is very bright!

I think we expected to have Roquan and Natrez back, as well as Eason developing into an Elite QB.

Experience is overrated. Give me Lecounte over any of the departing seniors any day.

Would not worry about the balance of the sec. The roster is championship caliber for the next 3-4 years already.

Next season will all rely on how quick the players that step up, gel.

We get SCU early and I think they are now the second best in the East, but we have a large gap on them, especially on O.

LSU from the West, wait and see if O and his old man oc can actually get it done.

Most of the rest could beat us but they are all rebuilding and we are not.

The concerning games are @SC, @LSU, and Auburn. If we win 2/3 I think we will be just fine. I think we should win all 3 fwiw.

2/3 my arse. If Big Trent and Baker return we will surely have a Bama like 2 deep. I expect to win them all.

At the time the claim was being made, we saw Eason being a seasoned junior QB. That has obviously changed a little.

I think that is a big part of it.

But having upper-classmen in the trenches is it for me. And I don't mean Richt's recruits on the OL. I mean Johnson, Thomas, and Wilson on the OL.

DL's like Bama and Clemson can squeeze an offense. It takes equal talent to push back.

I think you guys will get even better, demolish Florida once again and will win the SEC next year. After that, anything can happen because you *will* be in the playoffs.

I think we get there, but winning it is a whole different burrito. That essentially means beating Bama. I think a year's worth of film on Tua and the experience that the younger guys will have by then will help, but I'm far from assuming that to be a win.

One thing I know: You won't have Parrish to pick on next time.

Pretty much where I sit on it as well... Clearly the staff was not prepared sufficiently for Tua. By the end of the season though, I do like the odds that the defense will have grown a bit. Gotta make it through the early stretch unscathed... not overly difficult games on paper against USC and Mizzou, but they are on the road, against experienced returning QBs, which could take advantage of an inexperienced secondary.

2019 is and has been the year we will really go after it. We could make another run in 18 but 2019 they will have go through Athens and come out alive for the NC.

You realize in 2019, our biggest "rivalry" games are on the road, right?
Auburn
Tennessee
Georgia Tech

Coupled with both Tennessee and Florida looking at the "year 2" bump if either of them have made good hires. 2018's schedule actually shapes up better for the "go through Athens and come out alive" narrative.

2019... Just in time for ND to get rekt Between the Hedges!

With Big Trent announcing he's leaving, I think that's a bit of a monkeywrench. If TT78's leaving, there's zero chance at Roquan staying, IMO.

Americus has already spoken... I just am not taking him off the list until I have to... but yeah. He gone.

UGA should be in playoffs next year, without a doubt, hopefully it will be our year for a Natty, it's been way too long

I thought 2018 was our year mainly due to the fact that I thought our OL would still be a work in progress for this past year. Our defense will step back because we lose so much at the linebacker positions, but DL should be fine and I actually think we improve at DB. We'll definitely be more athletic in the defensive backfield.
