Offense - Cager. Second coming of Javon Wims at a position of need. Amazing that Kirby and company continue to find these gems in the transfer market.

Defense - Ojulari. Doesn't seem there's any ceiling for him as a RFr. Certainly was getting hype in offseason and especially after Cox transferred, but is contributing even above those expectations.

Special Teams - Not Jake Camarda. Woof.

Agreed. Both have been way above. Now Camarda surprised me, just not a good surprise. Seems even worse than last year, if that's possible.

I had high hopes for cager and ojulari coming into the year. Ojulari, Wilson, and Herrien balled in the Sugar bowl.
They were definitely on my radar.

Every catch for Cager at miami was a TD or first down. He was their go-to for big plays.

Camarda has been an unpleasant surprise. I didn't see this coming.

I do think wolf has been a surprise for me. I knew he was athletic. But I didn't expect him more athletic than woerner.

Shaffer and Hill are doing better than I expected (hill is cleaning up things from earlier in the year).

The secondary as a whole has been a good surprise (webb, mcgee, daniel, stevenson)

Agree completely. We are much deeper than I expected in the secondary. Would like to see Reese and Cine get more real playing time though. And we need Tyson back from injury bad.

I’ve been calling for Herrien to go off for 3 years now. He’s going off. That run he broke when he side stepped the blocking lineman and broke 4 tackles was badddd. Hope he keeps it up.

Lawrence Cager. Great grab for Kirby.

Ojulari is only going to get better.

Tae Crowder.

Kept hearing about Monty Rice all offseason, but Crowder has been the general of that defense so far..

Cager on Offense. I thought Landers would finally step up, and I've been totally off base with that faith.

I didn't think Tae Crowder had it in him, and am happy to have been wrong about that.

Going the other way I'm surprised Stevenson and Dean haven't gotten more action. I realize Dean had some injuries early and is behind Tae/Rice/Walker but I thought he'd make a little more of an impact so far. I'm not complaining whatsoever bc I fully realize we're 5 games into his college career, I just personally thought he was so advanced he'd be out there more.

Stevenson is in the same boat of being a TFr so obviously he's going to have to wait his turn. But with campbell being hurt for several games and Stokes out all of the ND game I thought we'd see some more action from him. The limited snaps he got early on he looked pretty darn good IMO.

Enjoying Herrien’s aggressive running. Each game he looks better than the last. Zeus is following suit.

I saw Dean trot out there from the stands in Neyland and there is a huge difference in size. I know he's a freshman but he looked more like 5'9-10/ 200-210 when he ran out there next to our other defensive players. Could have just been my angle.

He may need another year to bulk up.

To add on for Stevenson, DJ Daniel was getting posterized first half so I was really hoping they’d throw Stevenson in but never saw him

Offense is Cager
Defense is total run defense. Low yardage and no TDs.
