Even seen a baseball in this MSU series. We have our Ace and star closer out obviously. Our poor pitching has not made up for the terrible defensive effort.

Apparently we decided to mail this series in.

Success is in spite of Stricklin. Fire Stricklin.

Calm down. No Hancock and no Schunk in games 2 and 3.

MSU also got swept the weekend before playing us. College baseball is a marathon and all about getting hot at the right time. Need to see a sign of life this weekend before starting to really panic

Agree. I hope it was a ploy to make them show us their pitching but not us show them ours.

I do believe resting those with chronic injuries is good pre tourneys.

It’s also a nice recruiting demonstration, too, that a coach isn’t going to risk a sore arm of a guy projected to go 1 overall next year just to win a series that in the context of the tournament may not be as crucial. Of course, that’s also an easier talking point before your 3 other arms go out there and shite the bed in consecutive order

Weird strike zone this weekend did not help.

Any time you play in one of the West stadiums you have to prepare for calls that are going to favor the home team. Not easy to win there but both pitching and hitting failed. Smith looked as bad as I’ve ever seen him after a decent first inning on Friday

Generally speaking, shitty performances don't save other shitty performances.

Only fire? Look... why take a chance? At least, that's the way I feel about it
