I went through your post history and found it. I could have made a mistake, or you deleted it. If it is my mistake, I apologize.

I’m an idiot. Sorry. Was your thread from last year.

Although, to be fair, you did still say it

Kirby knows that if we don't beat Auburn, we're not getting into the play offs. I'm thinking that will motivate the team enough to neutralize the JH vodoo. We get through 19-13.

Idk about that but as long as Georgia doesn’t make mistakes they will win....I GUARANTEE IT.

I won’t predict the score but Auburn won’t score more than 10.

I won't predict the score either, but I'd guess they're more likely to score 10 points than we are. But it depends on which defensive scheme Auburn plays. If they use the attacking scheme they used at TAMU, we're in trouble. If they're more passive like at Florida, we may take advantage.

Our defense(better than theirs)vs their offense(worse than ours)

Their defense vs our offense

Sorry but I think they are the ones less likely to score 10.

Our run defense is pretty awesome straight up. We dont need to put more bodies in the box if Jordan Davis is healthy.

The key will be when he isnt in the game (avoiding Auburn getting into a hurry up offense that prevents him from getting back out there.

If Georgia stops the run this is 2-3 TD win. Must stop the run.

His backup will simply get a one-play injury, Notre Dame style.

I havent really seen that from us.

And davis isnt in our pass rush package (even 2nd and longs he will come off the field). We dont need him out there all of the time. But a first down conversion followed by a hurry up could keep him on the sidelines.

34-9 Dawgs. It'd be a shutout but Carlson is a damn good kicker.

Auburn may have bigger names on the DL but Missouri, statistically, has a better all-around defense. We were able to put points up on the board against Mizzou, even after Cager left the field.

Bo Nix is awful...really, really, really bad. I mean maybe he has a good game but a good game against this UGA defense means him throwing for 200 yards. He was 15/35 against a much worse LSU defense. Their run game should be held in check. Bend not break D will hold them to 3 FGs.

I'm not really sure about either of those comparisons. Hopefully you're right.

Why are people acting like this Auburn D is the second coming of prime Alabama defenses? They're 13th overall in the nation (UGA is #2, UF is #9). Christ. Not saying it'll be a cakewalk but don't believe the hype.

I know it's heresy to question the groupthink, but I'm not convinced our defense is as good as the stats suggest. Auburn's may well be better than ours, definitely more aggressive and variable in scheme. We've faced a motley crew of backup quarterbacks and low talent offenses. There are still significant weaknesses in that starting lineup IMO. And I have no faith in our offense until they give me a reason.

What team has more 5 stars on their D than we do?

That is fair.

Ours can be overrated and still better than Auburns.

True. And one dimensional offenses get shutout. Have you see Auburns offense against us the past 5 games? 1 dimensional.

Maybe so. Despite a good record and stats, my rewatching of our 2019 games is definitely leaving me skeptical and underwhelmed. Some people do their griping and moaning during or after the games. I do it in advance. That way if I"m wrong I'm happy and if I'm right I can sit out the post game bitchfest.

The only game that we didn't dominate the run was South Carolina and jordan davis was hurt.

We may not be dominant against Auburn. But we can be better against the run than LSU and Florida.

Auburn has been 1 dimensional against us ever since Gus has been there. Their best passing games are when they also run for 250+.

We have the best team speed in the SEC. Failure to show up against their run game would be failure to tackle and failure to get them off the field on 3rd and 4th downs (we've been good on 4th down this season, but LSU converted several against us last year). We cant give first downs with penalties either.
