If this keeps up, some roads will wash out.

At least someone is getting rain.

6 inches of rain in 24 hours with another 5 days of heavy rain forecasted is something to bitch about, I don't care how long it has been since it rained.

Oh. Thought I’d heard you say something about purchasing food once and being a fisherman and having a power bill. Sorry.

Or to be on SGI. Still raining here but I’d rather be on the gulf in the rain than at home

Do farmers like getting 2 feet of rain in 4 days?
My lake is spring fed and my power comes from coal sweet beautiful clean coal.

Lit, I have been following the arky flooding, bad for farmers there.

It’s pretty bad. We’ve had a lot of rain this year and then all the rain upriver in Oklahoma combined with our local rains made for disaster.

We've had 3.75" of rain since Thursday night. More to come tonight, Sunday and Monday. My corn is waist high and looking great. Will hit it next week with some 34-0-0 and it will shoot up to about 6 ft and we should have corn by mid-July. Summer squash are blooming and the beans are climbing the fence and blooming.

What form of nitrogen do you prefer for corn? And what variety of corn?

Runt, we're gonna need pics. I especially interested in the vidalia casserole you speak of.

Not sure if anyone is getting 2 feet of rain, but when not one single drop has fallen since Mother’s Day, bring it
Also, coal requires rain water to mine and the pond at Cracker Barrel with the fountain in it that you have permission to fish in does too.
The real question here is what your lord thinks about you using Noah’s ark biblical references. I’d of thought Grimtock might frown on that kind of thing

Silver Queen corn and Peaches n' Cream corn in alternating years. Silver Queen this year. I buy Pennington 34-0-0 and side dress the corn when it reaches waist high. I plant 3 kernels of corn 8" apart. I have 12 rows, each 60 ft long, 5 rows of beans, and 1 row of squash. All rows are 3 ft apart so I can run the tiller between them weekly to control weeds.
Several people here plant large gardens like this and we share with the families in need. I fill 2 freezers for us to enjoy over the winter.
