You think Kirby has asked Eason to get through this year, that he would give him (Eason) another shot at competing for a starting spot? Or is it over?

I'm excited about Fields, but I just want some continuity at the position.
The offense can be so much better with an experienced QB rather than a true freshman or grad transfer.

i have no doubt that Kirby told Eason he could compete for the job. He also would have told him that there were no guarantees and that the best player would be on the field.
It'll be interesting to see what Eason does, but I would be surprised if he stays, and I couldn't blame him if he left. He has to do what is best for him, and it will be hard to go to the NFL if he isn't starting. It's happened, but it is extremely rare.

Understandable, but I'm ready to see an option on the option draw

Coaches are not gonna go a 3rd striaght year in a row with a freshman qb starting. There will be packages for Fields, but unless Fromm gets hurt and Eason transfers, it aint happening.

I would be shocked if Eason didn't transfer. If he has any dreams of playing in the NFL, he needs to go. He's not going to play here and he won't beat out either guy. He simply wasn't ready. Fromm was more ready because he played big boy high school football.
