A Great Blog Entry

I know that there are tons of good blogs out there, but GTP brought this one to my attention. Some of y'all might enjoy this.
Glory, Glory
quote:
We traded field goals in the first overtime. We blocked their field goal attempt in the second overtime. And then one of our running backs, Sony Michel, took a direct snap from the 27-yard line. He swept around the left end and broke into open space.
It took about two and a half seconds from when he broke free until he crossed the goal line. Those two and a half seconds were a gift that maybe only sports can give: that sudden delicious understanding that you haven’t won yet but you’re about to. There wasn’t much in my 2017 that felt as pure and good as those two and a half seconds on the first day of 2018.

I thought I had quelled my premature ejaculation issue, however, I was nutting after the blocked field goal. I knew the Rod would do us right if we needed a game winning field goal. It was an amazing feeling. I didn't even apologize.

It really is a great feeling. I’ll never forget watching Yeldon scamper into the end zone in tiger stadium. It felt like time was in the slow motion. Or seeing Marquis Grissom settle under that ball in center field against the Indians 22 years ago

Was such an odd feeling. Like "what do I do with my hands"? My eyes saw it but it took me a lot longer to process it... but maybe that was just the liquor.
My negadawg self was actually just too scared to celebrate as I just KNEW there was going to be holding call or something but when there was no flag and all the players had rushed the field I about ran through a damn wall.

My newborn daughter was asleep in her little swing about 5 feet away and I had to contain my excitement so I didn't wake her. That was a struggle...
I hope my wife didn't get video of me falling on my knees and blowing kisses at the TV when CKS was being interviewed. Wasn't my most macho moment.

I know, and I am sure every lifelong dawg fan knows, exactly how you felt. It was as if my brain was trying to convince my eyes that instead of Sony walking into the end zone, I was seeing Rodney Anderson walk in for the Sooners.
Surely this CANT be right...this is the part where in every big game memory I have as a fan...close games that actually MEAN something...we watch the other team celebrate.
I simply could not process what I was seeing as it happened in real time. Time slowed. Unreal.
I’ve watched the highlights every day since...just to make sure nothing changed.

I get goosebumps every damned time I watch Sony's TD and the blocked FG.

Chris Fowler’s call still gives me chills and makes my eyes watery. Vindication.
Probably my favorite next to joe tessitores “guess which dogs are barking first” from the MSU game

The Senator is my breakfast read every morning. Great blog

When I ask if you read Senator Blutarsky, the answer usually tells me if you're really serious about this UGA football thing or not.
Sunday and Monday after a game, I swear I refresh the page once an hour. Dude writes well and has awesome insights.

Field St Forum is great for non-BS daily discussion, but God Almighty, can they please create a persistent message board, already?
This daily ongoing thread thing drives me insane.
